Carl Jungs work would compliment a lot of Nerdrums philosophy and understanding in the way he approaches his work.

When I first saw 4 Rembrandt paintings live, I was in my mid-thirties, having loved his work for over half of that short span of years. I stopped painting - I had a musical career, and that was an all-consuming study in itself, so painting was a helter-skelter foil. I attempted a course in my 60's, but knew that it was too little too late. This intimate discussion sent a lance into this old heart. This comment could become a novella, but fortunately you're spared. Full respect to both of you, and so much tenderness. Thank you for posting this incredible moment.❤‍🔥

All due respect to Odd Nerdrum's artistry, but the lighting on these videos is just silly.

I think Mr Nerdrum is a legendary painter, but he continually confuses personal taste with universal commandments for painting. Too many judgments on color, themes and what a picture should tell or not.
