This song was used in a scene that was staged very intricately and beautifully. Whomever dreamed up how to choreograph this is a pure genius. Too bad it's not included here.

In a show full of beautiful choreography and heartfelt scenes, this was by far my favorite. Gave me chills when I saw it the first time.

We did Bright Star as our musical this year for my school, and yesterday was the last show/senior night, and we sims a surprise song to the seniors and it was ashville. I don’t really know any of the seniors well, but I cried so hard. I’ll miss seeing all of them, and every now and again a bright star song comes on my playlist and I just cry….i miss them so much 😢(it has literally been one day)

Astonishingly awesome show. All heart. And then some. I stand with Steve Martin, Edie Brickell and now Carmen Cusack fans everywhere in restrained feeling that this show can dazzle audiences, win awards and break the mold outshining so much nonsense that postures on Broadway, yet not be permitted to continue rising into the Bright Star-dom that we so love and so need in our world at this time (and always). Way to reach the fans guys, in love.

I just did the guitar parts for performances of this musical with a talented group of High School kids in South Carolina. Although this is a different genre from what I normally would be asked to play, I really enjoyed learning the music and working with this group of people on Bright Star. I loved the music and the story.
