What size tires were on your Ranger?

Great video and appreciate how informative this video was. Walked into a local shop here in Houston for my Ranger with the idea of getting the Fox 2.0’s in mind. To walk out with a quote for the Icon Stage 1. The front coil overs are 2.5 vs the Fox’s 2.0 for a couple of hundred in difference. I really think Icon has hit a home run by offering the consumer the ability to upgrade them when getting rebuilt to convert them to Stage 3 etc. This video has convinced me to go with the purchase.

If anyone is wondering about quality. Your wasting your install time! Super nice. It's been 4 or 5 years ago now but installed a lift on a JK, and it was as nice as money can buy.

Great stuff! Thank you. Is the Icon Ranger a Lariat FX4? I see Ford is making a Tremor package now for the Ranger, but it looks like nothing more than a basic FX4 with a slightly improved suspension and a few appearance items. And they charge $4K+ for it. Would I be better off just buying an FX4 and installing one of these Icon kits?

Obviously the raptor looks cooler, but if you upgrade the rangers suspension and control arms, how does the ride/ capability stack up to the raptor?

Does ICON have the ability to rebuild in Canada? I'm looking for suspension upgrades for my '20 Ranger but having it on blocks for weeks at a time when things need a rebuild is a consideration. Thanks.

My shock started leaking had to send them back, 3 months turnaround time and I'm still waiting, icon really sucks for this,

I love everything about the Ranger accept how bouncy and mushy the suspension is. If I wanted to just improvement that and have no intension of going off road, what would be best? Just go with stage 1? I was thinking front and rear sway bars to take care of the body roll, too.
@Davido504 жыл бұрын
Its a plush suspension system. FX4.

What would be the ideal choice(s) for moderate rock crawling?
@Lcr344 жыл бұрын
Better rock crawl on solid axle vehicles and you only need 2.0 shocks to rock crawl (not rock bounce)

How often do they have to be rebuilt?

Southern Nevada offroading and back country wondering the same thing.

Just a wild guess, but I'm thinking run them until they leak. They may never need it, but being able to rebuild and upgrade is nice.
@1FiftyOverland4 жыл бұрын
@@dontask8979 oh they do, even Kings have to be rebuilt. Even more often if you actually offroad hard at speed.
@NoahStage34 жыл бұрын
Icon coilovers do need to be rebuilt, but the timeline can vary depending on how hard you run your truck. Most people can comfortably get 40K - 50K miles on them before they need a rebuild. On the other hand, high speed baja runs every week will wear the shocks considerably faster in which case they may need a rebuild before 40K.
@1FiftyOverland4 жыл бұрын
@@NoahStage3 I've heard them (icon, fox, king) needing to be rebuilt as soon as 15-20k miles. With what these cost, the average person cant afford to take shocks of every 20k miles, have a the truck just sit til the shocks are rebuilt. I'm glad I chose to run the Rancho quick lift with rs9000xl shocks from and rear. They have been installed for 42,000 miles now and I drive very hard off road. They are still as Rock solid as the day I put them on.
