The akto had existed for over 2 decades, yet its taken this long for someone to upload a proper adverisment for the tent! Great explanation and great shots. And not pitched on a cricket pitch!

When I pack the akto, I leave the ends of the windward guylines outside the tent bag which i use to pull it out after attaching one to a caribeener on my pack. The end vents have zippers on both sides so can be accessed from the outside or inside. You can access them from the inside by uncliping the inner at 2 points or just just put something waterproof on your head and push through. Got a 2nd Akto recently, had one years ago. Used just a 9mm pole in the past; gonna use 2x10mm poles this time round for bad weather which make it bombproof.

I own the Soulo red label in the same color in Switzerland. I also use it in the summer in Corsica, Elba, Menorca for weeks. I love it, it blends in so well in every Season.

Mine had stood up to really scary high winds. In normal conditions, they ventilate better in the wind than behind shelter. Ventilation is the biggest issue. The fly goes to ground level but you can prop it up a few inches with something.

The end vent zips ARE accessible from inside. Or is my tent different? Foot prints stop a lot of condensation.

Not inside the inner tent. Which is what is most annoying. Cannot regulate the airflow without awkwardly reaching around the outside of the inner, or going outside

I definitely prefer the Soulo for winter weather. I have the Enan for summer.

Soulo is a great winter tent especially if you are expecting a lot of snow or plan on camping somewhere more exposed.

@@tauntonleisure For sure. It’s currently the best solo, winter tent on the market. No contest. But that strength comes with the weight penalty.

@@dougieranger In the end it is all personal preference. For me Soulo is too heavy in summer and too small in winter. Id get a Nallo 2 or 3 for that weight. imo Soulo is designed for specific use cases and is one of the least versatile tents Hilleberg offers. Enan is great though

⁠@@lars2703There’s no denying it’s very heavy Lars. I find it spacious enough, even in winter. I find the Enan very compact. If I’m desperate for loads of space I can take my Allak 3 or if it’s really wild, my Keron 3. As you say my friend, it’s personal preference.

Morning, Thanks for your comment. As we mention in the video we pitched the tent in this orientation so that it could all be seen on camera without us having to point the camera and mic into wind driven snow. If you were to be pitching this for a night out in the wind and snow you are completely right.
