George really does tick every single box as a guitarist - can shred, play slower/more melodically, writes great riffs, employs unusual tonalities and always has a killer tone. Nice lesson :)

Amazing. The thing about George is even he only plays "in the style of" George Lynch. Never heard him replicate any solo that was recorded on an album, he just seems to go for broke every time, and see where he lands.

F yeah! Nailed it as always, Euge! I’ve been waiting for this one for a while. From his killer tone to his Gothic Octave, flat fifths and the attitude he brought to every note he played, 80s and 90s Lynch was a legend!

Right on. I've been wondering if and when we might see a video on George Lynch-style stuff from you. To me this song is a reworking of _Mr. Scary._ Like the song _Wicked Sensation_ sounds like a reworking of _(Never) Unchain The Night._ When I (try to) improvise something "in the style of" George Lynch, I throw in notes that would be played in blues solos over a dominant 7th-style progression. The Maj3rd, the Maj7th, the "Dorian" Maj6th. These are all notes that you would play over a standard 12-bar blues progression with those dominant 7th chords that have a major 3rd in them and a minor 7th, sliding back and forth between major and minor pentatonic (plus the "blue note" flatted 5th) but when you play them over a straight minor progression they sound "outside." For extra "Georgeness," put a pinch harmonic and a big, wide vibrato on those "outside" notes. Use the whammy bar, if necessary. That 300 to 450 millisecond delay that George uses really helps those notes to hang in the air even after you've moved on. (Using those major/minor blues notes over minor chords also seems to be a favorite tactic of Warren De Martini. I think he and George might've stolen it from Tony Iommi.) Some of this stuff is the kind of thing where if you do it once it sounds like you made a mistake; if you do it more than once, with attitude, it sounds like you just might be some kind of genius. Anyway, great playing and you did really good with the tone, too. Which is not that easy and a big part of the Lynch style.
