Black may think that he can achieve a repetition after re1 and knight goes back to f6 re1 ng4 and so on However the slightly unnatural and wired looking re2 is perfectly fine for white Next white will play h3 kicking away the knight and will enjoy a slightly better position (Sorry for bad English)
