I have seen videos of the animals left at home that have died and I can not believe people can be so cruel to leave animals trapped in homes with no way to survive. There are some people trying to save these animals but often it is too late. This man is a good man, my hat is off to him.

This is heartbreaking for me. I have a old Italian dog 12 years old he is a prince. I love him more than anything in this world he was there for me when the pandemic . I can imagine to leave him behind I will probably die with him. If I was in that situation. I donated my to Ukraine animals rescue.

I was told to leave my horses when I had to evacuate due to an approaching fire, I was terrified, called for help and the local Mounted Possee came to the rescue, they evacuated three hundred horses in under eight hours, no injuries, no deaths,. Being told that your animals don't matter is horrifying! If you love them you don't abandon them. I

You did the right thing ; I was raised on a livestock farm . Owners ARE responsible to keep Their animals safe. It's our responsibility .THANK YOU FOR FIGHTING FOR YOUR HORSES! be blessed wonderful families its not that easy to rescue all the pets at times of terrible war where possible you can take your pets with you but where there is sudden bombardment you have to flee and we can witness loving families carrying their dogs for miles imagine the suffering they endured but it's all blessings and I wholeheartedly pray for all humans and animals to be safe and be safe when traveling further by help of angel hearted people and volunteers who don't see days and nights just help help help God be with you always.love from Tanzania

I just attended to my sister's dog's birthday party with mom yesterday & we met a Ukrainian American couple there & talked to them for a while about the war & Ukraine & Ukrainians !! The lady told me that her relative ( sorry ,forgot ) evacuated ,but had to leave her dog as they didn't allow her ,but her friend found her dog & kept her dog with her ,will try to send her dog to U .S. ,where she is now .But not sure as she'll need to go back to Ukraine eventually & their families already went back to Kiev because Russians are closer to where they were evacuated to. And Kiev has been held strong against Russians. I also heard from my sister that some Italian ?( she wasn't sure ) guy with his animal sanctuary there in Ukrain remained there as he's got like 40 ?,400 animals ? Too many to move them safely ! And he said he'd die with his animals there than leaving them behind !!! 😍😢Zoo keepers / animal care takers there are also remaining for the animals !!! So - brave & compassionate!!! Unbelievable, how strong & brave they are !!! Those people are truly my heroes !!! 💘💜🥁🐉🎤💞

Woman of 86 got her 12 year old dog ( big) to Romania, got a woman to foster, She was taken to Ireland. A network got her dog to the UK and then by ferry to Ireland. So many decent Ukrainians, we see them with their pets in every video.

yeah and if they are old the were probably taken by the guard and evacuated and their pets left behind. many people were evacuated unconscious on stretchers. many people were in the hospital with kids and pets left alone at home. when I went to US I left my cat with my mom and she gave him away without asking me, if she would have been honest with me I would have left my cat with friends.

Bless them and all refugees. Also, as a dog trainer who has also volunteered at rescues/donated training for rescued dogs, I am too aware of how easily some in peaceful countries will just abandon their pets. This family is proof that not all heroes wear capes on so many levels.

There are 2mln+ Ukrainian refugees in Poland, there are procedures to process them + quickly move across the border. It wasn't safe to let the dog ride with 50+ other refugees, mostly women, children, elderly.
