George Washington Winsterhammerman works at the Jeffers Corporation. Everybody says that he's lucky to work there, but George doesn't seem to share the same sentiments. It's easy to get stressed in a hectic work environment, except, in George's time, people literally explode under pressure. Now, he is desperate to keep himself alive while everyone else around him begins to explode.

So basically agents call me and I send the illustrations and data from multiple companies for best rates and payouts. Training, the work day, PTO, and the coworkers are just a few things that are much better at my new job. Unless you have connections, work hard until you almost kill yourself, or get extremely lucky (which is my case), it is very hard to get a great job with great benefits/salary/caring employers. Usually, it takes 5-10 years before you can get a decent job that doesn’t work you to death and still gives you decent money.

To be honest, I take “exploding” as a metaphor for turning to crime, that mostly being drugs, thus the hippie brother. Yes hippies did drugs, but it didn’t cause them to “explode” per-say. I’ve had a lot of family members turn to drugs. It’s a bit hard to explain, but I think if you’ve been there you know what I mean. A few people mellow out, give up all their responsibilities and ambition to improve on themselves, then become a burden. They start flopping on family/friends couches, causing the friend/family more stress. There are also some people that get enraged, break stuff, steal, manipulate or, worse. That last one, I believe, is exploding. Both are bad, but the former is worse than the latter.

Fantastic game! But in We Happy Few, depression isn't a problem that's advertised on TV. It's a death sentence! Anyone who sees you frowning will harrass you for bringing them down, for being a "downer", and proceed to beat the rainbows and butterflies out of you with a frying pan, or whatever's available. Until you stop moving, which they assume is you having a little sleep. Then they go back to playing hopscotch or whatever, while society crumbles to nothing everywhere around them. I do love that game! I was pleased as punch when it came on sale! If you keep a wishlist on Steam, and have a bit of patience, you'll rarely need to pay full price for anything you want.
