"a robot bumps into Adam as it decides to follow the two"...lol this guy is really detailed in his recap. I just went to see the original and its pretty good. The only thing that was a mistake were the robots were breathing heavily in certain scenes when supposedly the only human part left were their brains.
@alexistaylor9692 жыл бұрын
Not a mistake. That is a feature of human consciousness. The sympathetic nervous system is directly tied to the subconscious part of the brain for your automatic breathing. The brain can control breathing when you think about it. Over time the brain learns to use breathing patterns to control the parasympathetic nervous system. This is why in stressful situations you automatically change your breathing when trying to focus or calm down. Your sympathetic nervous system is trying to make you breathe fast for fight or flight. But when you try to focus or calm yourself your brain will tell you to breathe slowly to slow down your heart rate. Now while the endocrine system and lungs do not exist in these robots, all those learned behaviors are directly copied along with everything else in the brain if they actually just downloaded their brains. Because of this they will continue to automatically perform the bodily motions they are able to such as the rise and fall of the chest and shoulders and head. What you see as a mistake because robots can't breathe is missing the point of the film. These are robots but they are humans and they were physically human before suddenly waking up.
@blackbelt20002 жыл бұрын
@@alexistaylor969 There is no need to synthesis the sound of the breathing. Don't say its so they can have an easier time adjusting into their new bodies. The people who put them in the robot bodies didn't care about their well being. That is why they were going to let them roam around until their batteries ran out. Which come to think of it, why go thru all the trouble of putting them in robot bodies if only to let them die? It just seems they missed some logic points. Still a good watch.
@vidafterdark2 жыл бұрын

wow! very similar to a story I wrote years ago about how Star Wars androids, like C3PO and R2D2 got their human-like personalities; that a long, long time before the present Star Wars saga, androids were once Human. I wrote about this just after the release of Bicentennial Man came out; where humans longed for immortal, and when humans began to have their minds and personalities uploaded to retain their lives with the promise of longevity life for them was great. They lived for thousands of years. However, their freedom was cut short, they then became slaves to the 'Server' and controller through deception for a software upgrade to their android body. Once connected to the server, their minds and memory became trapped inside the new Server, human became slaves to the system, doing the work of their master. They had their memories swiped but retained all the 'human-like' qualities and characters to serve humans as android slave workers, no longer aware of their past lives as humans.

The most amazing fact about this is that the "videos" are in fact *real-time rendering* powered by the Unity engine. Yes, they are not offline ray-traced videos, they can work in real-time on your PC, much like a game. If you download the executables, you can pause at any time and even move the camera a bit. First episode even has a test light you can move around and see how various material interact with it. And first episode was released in 2016. By all means, for 2016, the real-time rendering used in Adam is nothing less than amazing and ground-breaking. Too bad we don't see this level of realism in games even after almost 9 years.

Where Consciousness, Sentient and Intelligence are the things that bring relations to humanity as being more like Human/Pets. However Sentient is emotion, not meaning alive, just a creature posses glands, to induce behaviors, Consequences is simply being aware of where your are and your priority,. Intelligence is the knowledge and wisdom though imput. It's the swaring to become an INDIVIDUAL that truly imposes alive/living, because your not part of a circuitry of priority commands, but a self response awareness of your environment you're in. Well this movie had brief and basic plots. It is like the start of a longer story, yet it ends before it could finish getting on its feet. And that priest in the end is a massive hypocrite in more ways than one.

So... if your prison sentence is your mind being transferred to a robot, to get locked up with other robots... why would they all be a humanoid form? One would think there would a much more efficient robot shell or form that could be used. Put their consciousness into a micro or nano robot and house the whole prison in a shoe box.
@RemziCavdar2 жыл бұрын
Maybe for forced labor? Indeed it doesn't make sense to give people robot bodies and then send them off. This would be either too expensive or a huge waste of resources or both.
@MrRobarino Жыл бұрын
What kind of story would there be if they just did that? It's not about efficiency, you genius, it's about story telling. This is a fictional story designed for entertainment. Who the f&%k would want to watch this short story if they just put their consciousness into a nano robot and housed the whole prison in a shoe box? The story would be done in 30 seconds. This is about entertaining the audience. If every character in movies, books, TV shows, or video games did what they should have done, then movies would be over in 15 minutes, books would only be one chapter long, TV shows would end after the first commercial, and video games wouldn't be worth playing. There is no entertainment value in that. Think about it.
