The Mouse Wheel Sharpening Method

Here's a way of quickly sharpening an image using the mouse wheel to control adjustment, making steps of 0.1, 1 and 10 at a time to rapidly narrow in on the desired sharpening. We also show how to use noise reduction after sharpening so you only reduce noise to a necessary effect.

I still dont understand how anything can be a fraction of a pixel, when a pixel is the smallest unit. But perhaps this is just a mathematical thing for calculation purposes ?

Yes, it still puzzles me. I don't know the algorithm they use. Perhaps it strays into Alpha calculation?
