Love you guys! Please don’t change what you do and how you do it. Your passion for motorcycling has inspired me to get back in to motorbikes after a 15 year hiatus. Also thanks to Chris(Baron) for being so real with your mental health, we are very similar people and sometimes I too struggle with things i.e the covid farse, governments(bureaucracy)and snakes in business and generally just shitheads. It’s comforting to know there’s other good people out there who haven’t sold their souls and believe in having fun and doing some good. Cheers boys from Australia.

Don't feel too bad; in 2000 i did a track day on an 82 GS750 2:21 T that was so worn out and slow that a stock evolution Harley kicked my butt in a drag race. The track day was free for me and that was the only bike that I had back then. Still humbled plenty of sport bikes.

When traveling at a high rate of speed you want zero distraction. On track, eyes always in front and always making sure you pass clean. Never looking behind yourself. The rider behind you is responsible for the clean pass. Never look at speed either. Just a quick check of RPM and gear indicator if you have one. (hope this helps)

@@lionsgarageJust what I have been taught during my first track days from the control riders/instructors. More I put it to use more it made sense. You can get out there and look around as much as you want. As Novice track day rider, definitely not a good idea. No comparisons can be made from street riding to track riding. As you are super focused at body position, trail breaking into corner entry, apex then turn exit from one to the next. You really don't want to be looking around. Most likely find your self blowing a turn and possible crash. So tell me, why don't you see mirrors on race bikes or MotoGP bikes???

Lovely lads. Just think about the distance Australians need to travel to get to the tiny Island that Philip Island raceway is on. If you’re riding from north to south or west to east coasts then you’re covering about the same distance as London to Moscow! Thanks for the laughs. Legends x 3!
