Oh wow!! Just wow! I absolutely love all your projects but think you have out done yourself with this one!! Just gorgeous! You are very fortunate to have "special" thrift stores to shop at to find all your bits and pieces.

Thanks so very much April for your encouraging comment and yes,when doing this type of art ,a good source of supply is essential. I would love to work bigger, but I don;t have the space to do so. All my relatively small findings are in 2 shoe boxes. : )

I cringe when I think of what I have thrown in the trash that would have made wonderful assemblage pieces. The use of texture paste for repair was enlightening. I always gasp when you cover everything with gesso, then I am amazed when you create a whole new world. Polymer clay is a fun medium, especially in this context. Using the spring added a kinesthetic element -- so inspired and inspiring!
@InaSolsberyartroom6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so very much Gail. I so appreciate your great feedback. When you do assemblages, you start looking at your trash diferently. LOL I love both type of assemblages, the "pure" no gesso ones are also fun to put together. I am glad you find inspiration here. : 0

Absolutely beautiful! We used to have an upcycled art store about 45 minutes away that I tried to visit every few months. Unfortunately, they were volunteer driven and could not get enough people to stay open. You could find all kinds of art supplies including craft papers, clay, jewelry makings, AND stuff like old puzzle and game pieces, piano parts, bits and bobs of everything! It was so inexpensive, too! Thankfully, I have some friends and family who save some "junk" for me and I've gotten pretty good at finding usable items all over! New sub here!

Hi Debbie and thank you for your kind feedback. I am glad you discovered my channel and enjoy my art. I am taking a little break from posting over the holidays,but will be back soon. In the meantime welcome to my channel and please look around and I hope that you will find many more projects here.that you will enjoy. 2nd hand art stores are a rare find and I hope ours stays open for a long time. It is located in the Denver art district and is always busy. Happy New Year.

Today I find it particularly regrettable that I can only give one thumb. The two boxes were great, plus all the many items and the beautiful colors. The heart is really a worthy, very fitting center. With the spring and the mobility, it just seems perfect. Then these wonderful papers, with the scriptures. I'm totally excited again. Thanks for the inspirations. ❤👍 LG vom Tinchen

Oh so fun! I will have to go out and do some exploring for possibilities. Using wood boxes add a nice sturdiness that a canvas or cardboard box does not offer. Really enjoyed watching your process. Peace.
@InaSolsberyartroom6 жыл бұрын
yes, working with wood boxes is the best for these type of assemblages as they have a bit of weight.Glad you like this and I so appreciate your kind feedback. Thank you Monica. : )

I so enjoy this video; what a gorgeous piece, Ina! You´re so talented! We don´t have second hand art/craft stores, but I´ve been hoarding...I mean collecting (LOL) things I´ve found at a second hand shop; cheap jewelry, toys etc. They are easy to take apart. I just wish my hands would like to cooperate. I´m getting a personal assistant soon, maybe that would help. Tfs, hugs, Fia
@InaSolsberyartroom6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so very much Fia. Yes,you have to be a bit of a collector to build up a stash to work with. I am glad you will give it a try and I hope your hands will improve and you will get a crafty assistant, Ha : )Hugs

I think all my mediums are either mentioned or added with captions. I am not a Brand name artist, I use whatever is on clearance LOL or I recycle....so supplies lists are not part of my creative process as I don;t keep track of names,color specifications etc. Sorry!
