The haughty Juliana should have bowed to Beatrix. Juliana was so ungrateful to Canada in WW2 she insisted that the Canadian hospital room where she gave birth be declared international territory. They should have sent her back to the Netherlands to give birth.

Don't forget that during WW2 Juliana was not Queen; her mother Wilhelmina was the monarch until 1948. So Juliana was still a princess when this happened. In the 1980 coronation film shown here, Beatrix had not yet been crowned, so her mother was still the Queen at that point, hence a bow to her daughter would not have been appropriate.
