I imagine these tracks being played when Makoto was alive and there was no chaos is Inazuma. Everything was peaceful and quiet. Ei, her friends, and Makoto were enjoying the peace of Inazuma. As time passes by, the music starts to change, and this represents Ei losing those she cherished the most. After the many conflicts of the archon war and the cataclysm, many things had changed, including the electro archon’s sister, Beelzebul [Ei]. Now that Ei rules Inazuma as the new Electro Archon (without most of the people not knowing that Baal [Makoto] is dead) the music being played is much more sharper, showing more sorrow and sadness that ties to the isolation and loneliness of Ei without her sister and past friends.

It's pretty much against what the entire region is though. The whole nation was just in a uprising, their ruler is cruel and pretty much emotionless, all vision bearers were mistreated and basically just killed mentally by the nations ruler herself, Inazuma is everything but calm and quiet, you can hear the anxiety of the nation and the power the shogun holds over her nation with the lightning strike-like beats in the music in just the casual city ost's which is my favorite part of inazuma's ost

Like you can see the potential in the melody but bringing out the base, heightening some of the pitches, and all the other little adjustments that were made really brought out that potential! One of the best battle themes in genshin, for real!

it's recorded as a separate track because the japanese traditional instrument players had to record separately so that yu-peng chen could merge it with the other instruments, given that the melody itself was TOO HARD to constantly do retakes for. this part including the interview with the shamisen player who plays this tune is in the inazuma ost behind the scenes video on genshin official youtube channel, and this track is likely one of the unfinished pieces chen was upset about leakers releasing before 2.0 since it's only a part of the final product.

The beta version of Blue Dream (8:50) plays in Raiden's 2nd story quest, during her reunion with Makoto. It also plays sometimes when you're right on top of Tenshukaku during afternoon-evening (around 4-5pm in-game), instead of the final version. I can't tell if the Tenshukaku one is intentional or a glitch but it does so for me.

You can clearly tell the differences between the beta and the final versions. This one feels a bit unrefined but it def has a charm on it's own! It's more like this version is much better to be used in live performances than be used in the game. Love both beta and final versions!!!

I just finished cleansing ritual and mist island quests, pretty much completed the main parts of Inazuma. God dang this "expansion" was so good. I'm doing Chasm now but I haven't gotten the same vibe I had with Inzauma ever since. I hope Sumeru will bring joy into this.

Just some thought on my favorite songs Preparation of matsuri sounds so hopeful here. But the emptiness in the original is so nice. This one doesn't give me chills, and makes me happy instead. SPOILERS FOR RAIDEN SECOND STORY QUEST ~~~ Blue Dream sounds so simple here. I imagine that's what it sounded like before makoto' s death. And the new version plays in raidens second story quest before the tree cutscene :'). It's so sad to think about.
