The format was horrible. Should have been a roundtable with the four of them for the most part, introduced and ended with a monologue by Greg Davies, and small minute long interjections with other former cast members and their favourite moments. Something like that

Imagine how awesome and funny a movie with the 4 boys, Jay, Neil, Simon and Will and the parents, Jays dad, Simons dad, Neils dad and Mr Gilbert all going away for a big stag do weekend then rounded off with a wedding... it would be full of laughs, cringe comedy that the show is loved for, dirty sex jokes and finished off with a sentimental yet funny wedding... id fucking love to see that

You’re right, mate. Having Jimmy Carr just doesn’t fit well. If not, they could’ve gotten Anthony Head to do host the show if Greg Davies didn’t want to offer. Anthony Head appeared in the first movie as Will’s dad. Even Neil’s dad would be a better host of that reunion.

The downfall of that program was the production team on that show it has nothing to do with the four of you lads cause you four are the reason we all love Inbetweeners nothing else. A third movie would be amazing cause it would be people who love the show doing another one where u can tell that the people who made the reunion show knew the Inbetweeners but they don’t know what makes it special. As a huge fan it actually got me a little chocked up seeing how much you cared about the success of it. Love seeing you around more and all the Inbetweeners lads. I cannot wait for White Gold season 2 its gonna be amazing. I loved your podcast with True Geordie was one of my fav ones too. Keep doing you and can’t wait to listen and watch more of yours. Extras, production team, if he walked off he would’ve wasted all of those people’s time and money who are only doing their job. It would’ve been a dick move. White Gold was one of my favourite series of last year; really glad to hear its coming back and even better this second season. EDIT: I recommend sticking on KZbin with your streams instead of going to Twitch, I've been making gaming content for 5+ years, if you moved to Twitch it would be like starting all over again, and with KZbin, there's opportunities, although less these days, to grow the audience and the channel overrall, whereas with Twitch you basically need a pre-exisiting audience to follow you to the Site with a few exceptions.

The last thing any fans wanted was for the reunion to leave a sour taste in your mouth when thinking of the inbetweeners. When you guys are allowed to do you, your all gold. Don’t be put off returning to finish the trilogy because people that don’t get the inbetweeners messed up the reunion, that wouldn’t happen with the OG team back in control. As much as my heart tells me I want new inbetweeners, my head tells me exactly what James is saying. It would be forced, probably reek of a quick, corporate cash grab, and I just don’t think the characters as we know them would work as fully formed adults ( Simon and will maybe, but one would think jay and Neil would have matured a bit in the last decade). sometimes you just have to accept that the story ended when it was supposed to, and anymore might start to spoil the series. Better to leave an audience wanting more than to leave them wishing they’d watched less

Just found this podcast, the inbetweeners wasn’t ruined by the episode at all! The shows and the films are still legendary and are still making people laugh. Everybody would still love to watch a proper reunion of you four chatting shit whether it be on TV or on this channel, and there would be a massive interest if you were to complete the trilogy of films! Don’t be so harsh on yourself, the reunion wasn’t what you wanted or expected but parts of it were really great and flooded me with nostalgia! Inbetweeners was a massive part of me growing up and I never get bored watching it now. Congrats on making an iconic show! X

Got to say; I don’t EVER watch podcasts but I’ve just subbed. Like most people I’ve seen the Inbetweeners countless times and watched ‘best bits’ on KZbin 100’s of times. I haven’t seen the reunion show due to the feedback but I feel that YOU were let down, not that YOU let anyone down. You come across as very down to earth and chilled. Great working with you guys today... it was just the tonic I needed after 3 weeks on US murder docu-drama reconstructions.... I really hope you don't dwell on the reunion show shambles any longer James. I gotta agree you are being way to harsh on yourself the reunion special was a train wreck personally I think Greg Davis should've hosted not Jimmy carr he's piss taking nature was too much. I think the 4 of you boys and Greg should of had a format to reminisce and exchange anecdotes with the audience that would've been class to hear behind the scenes stories like you say. The Inbetweeners were a huge part of mine and many others teen years, don't be so harsh on yourself though the car segments were great with you guys. :)

I felt like James was giving the same reactions as people at home, it was clearly channel 4 getting it completely wrong. All of you looked so embarrassed to be there and I was embarrassed for you because of the incompetency of whoever put it together! Also the way it was advertised it looked like a new episode, nothing to do with your performance on the show, maybe channel 4 hired the guys from Fyre festival to organise it!

Tbh I’d completely forgotten about the reunion. In my opinion and I bet millions agree that the inbetweeners is the best comedy ever created. I genuinely must reference and laugh about it weekly if not daily. For years I’ve had hour long conversations with loads of different people about nothing but scenes from the inbetweeners and probably spent hundreds of hours laughing because the show. I reckon it has to be one of the greatest sources of joy in my whole life so thank you James

I think that the reunion will just be forgotten about, I don’t think it will taint any legacy or burn any bridges for returns in the future. Another movie would be amazing. There’s so much you could do with it, so many stories you could spin and the possibilities are endless. James, you know as an inbetweeners fan what the fans want to see, why don’t you host a podcast reunion with all the boys and make it what it was supposed to be, without any of the “TV” bollocks. I’m not going to lie I’ve never really thought a podcast in general would be interesting however I sat and watched the whole thing and will definitely tune in to watch more of yours. I could tell from watching the reunion that it was awkward for you and the boys but each of you decided to roll with it. It is what it is and for many of us our opinions of you guys and the show in general will never change, it was just a complete shambles of a reunion with social media and the format to blame. I hope that you don’t get disheartened and even pursue a 3rd movie as they’re hilarious. You had me laughing when your kids were piping off in the background and your fatherly instincts were kicking in, agreed Christmas is shitty until you have kids and then it becomes enjoyable again to see some of your own childhood memories passed on through the eyes of your children. Weird thing to ask but maybe could you give me a shout out in your next podcast (not just me but when you’re answering other individuals) and possibly respond to other KZbin comments left for you both to answer.

I don't think he's being hard on himself, he's being honest, realistic and very self aware. He's accepting the parts that are down to him and explaining the bits that were the fault someone/something else in a very objective and non-malicious way. Very articulate, eloquent and emotive.
