As someone from San Antonio there really isn’t many big names coming out of SA as there is the rest of the state. You may get a handful of players with fbs talent but for a city that size it really isn’t a recruiting hotbed.

Demarvin Leal, JT Woods, Spencer Burford, Tariq Woolen, the list goes on. Many D1-A college teams recruit from San Antonio. Our college programs are all young, both UTSA and UIW, but the talent from San Antonio has never been doubted. Sincere McCormick playing for the Raiders once he’s healthy. UIW has two Undrafted free agents on practice rosters. This is just 2022 talent. I won’t do all your homework for you…

Given the strength of Iowa's defense vs both South Dakota St and Iowa State, Nevada's gonna need about 10 to 14 points of offense to win as Iowa has probably a top 5 defensive unit, but probably a below average offense even by Division 2 standards.

I remember when UIW traveled to Fargo to face North Dakota State in football. UIW's main purpose in scheduling this game (besides a substantial payout, of course) was to see first-hand how a successful FCS program was run and take some ideas home. I don't want to give NDSU undue credit for UIW's current success, but I would say the Cardinals' trip to NDSU is paying some dividends.

Why wouldn't you call it an upset? Nevada plays in Mountain West FBS and incarnate word plays in Southland FCS. If for some reason Nevada won the rest of its games, that one lost to an FCS team would be their death sentence to a better bowl.
