Plot:
Cobb steals information from his targets by entering their dreams. He is wanted for his alleged role in his wife's murder and his only chance at redemption is to perform the impossible, an inception.

Inception is a 2010 science fiction action film[3] written and directed by Christopher Nolan, who also produced the film with his wife, Emma Thomas. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a professional thief who steals information by infiltrating the subconscious, and is offered a chance to have his criminal history erased as payment for the implantation of another person's idea into a target's subconscious.[4] The ensemble cast additionally includes Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Dileep Rao, Cillian Murphy, Tom Berenger, and Michael Caine.

I always found the scene right when he wakes up on the plane extremely impactful. I’ve experienced long dreams that feel the go on for several hours or days before, and waking up from them is always such a disorienting feeling that makes me question reality, even if just for a brief second

The top wasn't Dom's totem, it was his wedding ring. In all the scenes in the dream, he's not wearing the ring, when he's awake, he is. Fabulous movie.
