Can someone explain something to me. Did Saito pose as Cobell Engineering and set up the extraction on himself to test the ability’s off Cobb and co. Or did an actual separate rival company to Saito set up the job to extract business plans ? Any help would be appreciated.

The Cobell job was a setup to test Cobb’s skill. The chase in Mombasa was another test to see how he operated under pressure-very convenient that Saito shows up and saves him at the perfect moment.

It's kind of weird that in the french version, Saito has a very strong accent and almost not in original version..

He does though, in the English version (this video is a shining example) his accent feels very strong as well. But all the lines that he delivers are grammatically correct.
