Some Luke warm questioning. The man is a xenophobe of note ask any expat in BW. Interesting how his sympathisers are almost exclusively from his tribe or are far removed from his reign. Same day Masisi took over you could almost taste the relief in the air. No wonder Mogae thinks he’s unhinged In his defence everything seems like a vendetta because for the first time in his life his entitlement was challenged.

Here is a truthful observation on the politics in Botswana without offending anyone iam politically neutral, yet i want amicable resolutions to this great nation. The Khama issue has shaken our country ever since it started, the politics involved does not put it in realisation that Khama has a great following to contain,if he arrives today, watch the news on his arrival,Botswana will be in a stand still thus a fact we cant change it,he is loved, only a few here will try hard to send a wrong narrative.Iam try to give a clear picture and its true, now the only way foward is an amicable resolution to this problem than all the fighting doing this in respect also on the current leadership we also value and respect.Differences are there in politics but let us not forget the blue black and white flag a country we luv so much at the same time let us all realise and honour the current leadership.

You have more chance of interviewing Jesus before getting that clown to sit with Trevor. This man has ten years under his belt backing up his commitment to democracy and running a sound economy. Ian is a victim of his superiority complex. This is a man who didn't want to be interviewed by private media in Botswana when he was president because he was too good for them, so he thought. He even went to the extent of banning government advertising in private media. So, talk about democratic credentials and sickining hypocrisy. It,s hilarious that he can sit in a foreign country and spout, endlessly, how Masisi has suddenly turned into a " disease" after working with him for so many years. This fall out, between the two, initial worried some people, but it's largely ignored now. If Ian left the country because he is afraid of being poisoned , does he think he is safe in South Africa? As usual, Ian thinks he is too superior to be tried in Botswana in a court of law for his guns. And what does he need so many guns for anyway? Listen to him talk about how he is going to lead opposition parties in Botswana for 2024 elections. This is self appointment, and thinks everyone is a child who should do as he says. He is out of touch with what is happening in Botswana opposition politics. If you peel off the layers, you see a man whose ego is deeply wounded and is trying to use opposition politicians to fight what is essentially a ruling party turf war. You can't run a political campaign on Masisi as the only issue and think you can win a general election. He keeps on saying we Batswana this, Batswana that. How many Batswana are you speaking for? If we go by the last general election, he is speaking for a minority. His political party has got only three seats in parliament in his tribal area. He is delusional when he says he is going to lead opposition parties in next year's general election. He doesn't hold much clout in Botswana politics anymore ,the last general election has shown. He can make all the noise he wants in a foreign country but it's not going to affect the outcome of the next general election. He should not try and claim credit if Masisi loses. The law wants him to come and stand trial for his guns. The country has also recently learnt that a company run by his brothers has supplied Botswana defence force with defective army equipment and broken down vehicles, from the exclusive tenders they enjoyed for so many years to supply BDF with weapons. Masisi has stopped that corruption. Ian talks about Debeers company as if it's a holy cow that should not be negotiated with. Masisi is the president and should be allowed to negotiate the way he sees fit. He is " human , if he makes a mistake", isn't he? Ian is a messiah with clay feet and he is not going to walk on water as he would like some people to believe.

Trevor was paid to ask him such shallow questions. Come to Botswana and get it from us Batswana. This man and his family were corrupt and entitled to the resources of Botswana and Batswana. President Masisi saved us by getting rid of them. He talks about corruption when his middle name is corruption. He must stay in exile. We suffered under him for years. Please go and interview Batswana, Former President Festus Mogae and President Masisi. I think you have started with getting all the facts straight from neutral sources before interviewing former President Khama.

President Khama was not ruthless enough. All the red 🚩🚩🚩🚩 were there. He should have fired him when all the ministers came to him. I question his leadership skillls. Why would he betray the confidence of his ministers by putting them in front of Masisi? No smoke without fire. I would have been interested in his take on Zimbabwe structuring it's gold industry borrowing from his DeBeers experience. I like Trevor's easy going interview style but I felt he was disrepectful in the end for trying to chase views by asking him to face the camera and address Masisi and to try to push matters when his guest had declined the first time. Not good.

Trevor you seem to sympathies with the former president the questions you are asking are too friendly and does not do justice to expose the power hungry former president who wants to use politics to protect himself rather than the courts. He knows that he is guilty

He had been a good leader in the army, then he thought he was a messiah. According to him the world revolves around him. Ian has never had to listen to anyone. He is self centered. What a pity. He has a strong sense of self entitlement and thinks the country belongs to his father and his family. Anyone who opposed government was unpatriotic. When he left he came with all sorts of conditions. When he was unhappy, he became like a small child and left home. He had his time s president. What's his gripe? Sick and spoilt rotten!

Hi Trevor, I thoroughly enjoy your channel and love the work you do. I feel you did a lot of listening though in this interview and didn't probe Ian Khama enough. I therefore felt it wasn't as balanced. This does not take away that fact that you got him to speak of his side of the story which we the audience appreciate.

This was more of a promotional video for this man, no hard questions were asked of him. No history of his 10 year rule was mentioned only what he is complaining about. This is a man who is running for elections so that means he is just a politician promoting his party which is also falling apart here at home. please lets have a balanced story next time we have seen his interviews with other channels before its like people are promoting him nobody is asking him the real questions here. But we are happy here without him. i wish he could just retire for his sake
