You live in the Philippines! I saw the maria kakaw and rajah humabon hahahahaha!
One of the best ways I found to conserve battery was basically to use Xposed modules after rooting. Absolute headache to configure but once you've clamped down on everything 'phoning home' when the screen is off and taken away permissions for things to 'autostart' in the background, battery life goes through the roof. 0% battery drain when the screen is off, anywhere up to double screen-on time. Pain in the butt to configure but you can have an app-heavy phone without the battery commitments. The trade-off is less potentially interesting notifications. I wiped my phone recently and I miss being free of "why haven't you played X game today?".

+Chris Churchill Here are some tried, tested and true methods! Here are a few helpful tricks to save power and or recharge your phone quicker! * Uninstaling Facebook will save you between 15 to 25 percent on your daily battery life. Use your browser for Facebook instead! * Charge your phone and tablets when turned off they can charge up to 60% faster as the battery is not powering most of the device! * Turn off WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC & Mobile Data as when not in use this can save you a lot depending on your apps! * Also turn off your Auto Screen Rotation this can save you 2 to 8 percent a day in theory! * If you have Multiple Batteries and a Battery Charger, Swap them out when they get too about 25% power remaining! * This way you can use your phone for much longer and if you put the low battery onto charge right away it will be full almost by the time the full battery gets down low! *Turn off auto updates as many new updates have bugs that end up using more power, only update apps and OS after reviewing what others have to say about the new updates after about a month! * Use a regular (Low Power!) USB Charger Port, A Fast or Rapid Charging Port will kill your battery much faster (upto to 60% faster!) than a standard trickle/standard charger! * This does not matter so much (except for the environment!) as long as you can replace the batteries easily! * Plug your phone charger into a surge protector that can also smooth out the current this can add upto 20 to 35% on your battery's life span (Use the same type of device for computers and tablets as well!), This does not affect your phone's battery until the 2 to 3 year mark depending on the quality of the battery! * This also has the benefit of saving your phone during power surges which can kill low powered electronic devices like phones and tablets! * Use Bluetooth devices to listen to your phone it cuts down on power consumption even more then wired headphone/earbuds as they use their own power supply to power the speakers rather than rely on the phone's battery to do that with wired headphones/earplugs! * Also Bluetooth uses far less power to send the signal to your wireless headphones/earbuds then sending it via cable even without having to power the headphones/earbuds because of electronic resistance all metals have even gold and copper air does not generally have this problem! * Also if you can turn off the screens colour so it's in grayscale mode, That can save your screens power consumption by about 40 percent! * Force stop all apps that you absolutely do not need to use to stop background power and data consumption! * Unless you have bad eyesight you only need your phone's brightness level to be on between about 25 to 50 percent most of the time! * If you can swap out batteries but have no spars get a brand new one and replace your phone's battery every 12 to 24 months this does not apply if you have multiple batteries and swap them out on a regular bases! *Never let your batteries get to Zero Percent instead take the battery out of your phone after it has been charged to 100% or Charge your Battery in a Battery Charging Station then reinsert the battery into your phone and restart your phone to calibrate your phone and battery properly!

Because at first it says 4hrs left, then suddenly drops to 2hrs and so on until it very quickly drains all the battery. Any solutions ?

a large part of rooting to use apps like setcpu and NoFrillzCPU is to switch governors to ones more efficient like hotplug for dual core cpus to "shut off" the second core, a better option then just dropping the core clock speed/
@DanielRichards6449 жыл бұрын
Jason Stroman using No-frills to reduce cores in use is about choosing the right governor, many aftermarket ROMs include governors like Hotplug or HotplugX that disable the extra cores when not needed, it's not some magic setting in the program, also there are plenty of programs designed specifically to allow you to disable extra cores manually, as for which is more effecient it would depend on the phone. the benefit of the Hotplug governor is that it will enable the extra core when needed and disable when not, where using an app to disable the core keeps it off unless you go into that app and re-enable it, so hotplug gives you the power when you need it and not when you don't, personally I don't underclock so I can't compare it to that, I don't like hindering the performance of my devices.
@DanielRichards6449 жыл бұрын
Jason Stroman Well I did specifically say Hotplug and HotplugX which are governors that are not stock on any device I've seen before.

Root, get kernels that supports underclocking the CPU, use setcpu to set the minimum frequency to the lowest possible. make profiles on setcpu that suit your needs. couple of years ago, i had a rooted, modded xperia S that lasts 3 days with wifi ON. if i remember correctly, it had 18-21 hrs on-screen time.. it just takes almost a week of trial and error but it really pays off...

Battery tech isnt up to modern smart phones. Get a case that includes a lipol battery. I have a note 2 and cant even get 8 hours out of it with all the power savings stuff I can throw at it. So, when it gets low and I have to continue using it, I turn on the case which provides power on the go WITHOUT needing to switch the phone off. No lost anything!

Using the latest version of android negates the need to turn MOST of these features off. I use 4.2.2 on a nexus 7 and nexus 4. I use both devices heavily for 8h a day. Both devices will go 2 full days before needing a charge. I own juice defender, but only have it installed on my HTC and Sammy phones with 4.0.3 android. I keep Bluetooth off, Wifi hotspot off those are most important. mobile data, Wifi, gps, location services, nfc only use battery when being accessed by an app.
