Its simple ,if u want to cruise long distances on highways use 16 or 18T sprocket in RE and if u have to ride within a city or hilly region or offroading use 15T sprocket

181 vlogs hello sir use 15 teeth sprocket from the standard 350 series, you will get punchy pickup , more torque, Less jerks and less gear shifts required. On 5th gearYou can cruise easily at 45 kms per hr speed. But only demerit is less top speed. may be a reduction of 10 kms per hr top speed. Hello sir!!! I jst want an advice from u, currently m owning royal enfield electra 350 n i have installed classic 350's rear tyre on it due to which vibration level on my electra increase a bit. I do rectify my sprocket n chain but they r good enough. What if i install 16T front sprocket on my electra? Will it work fine?

@@3600SAMY it will over burden the engine, just by slricketing you would not get a 350 cc engine converted into 500cc, obviously that's why 500 cc comes with a heavier crank, bigger piston sizes and bigger bores. Sprockets can only increase marginal gains and vice versa. Stick to 14 or 15 teeth. Hope it helps

I fit 38/15 sprocket on my classic 500 now i cant go more than 70km/h, but Torque is incresed i can go 50 on 5th gear

muhammed najeem You have actually come down from 18 teeth oem to 15 teeth !!! That is a major difference !!! That is why the torque has increased and speed has reduced. You may have to compromise with mileage also !! I guess you could have gone with 16 teeth sprocket, so that the speed would have increased a little bit may be you could touch 90 kmph mark . Sr my friend had classic 350 he don't touch sprockets but he retared the timing of cam wheels by moving clock wise exhaust cam wheel and anticlockwise inlet camwheel by one teeth ....now his bike can run as slow as 25kph in 5th gear and top speed is 105 kph ....is it possible what do you think on it sr please reply I hope you have a thought on it

Good presentation and informative too. But when you increase the no.of teeth on the drive sprocket , the gear ratio is reduced and hence the top speed. Can you please clarify this .😊 38/15 =2.53. 38/16 =2.37. Technically the above is done on your vehicle. Thanks.

Your calculation is correct.But the difference in speed is because of the difference in Tire radius of Classic and Standard. See in classic the tire radius is 18 inch and company has provided 16teeth sprocket and in standard the tire radius is 19 inch and company has provided 15 teeth sprocket .But i have “interchanged “it ,So practically the speed will increase, that is my perception. After using the above mentioned setup. Your calculation holds good for sprocket ratio, but it doesn’t take in to consideration of Tire radius change between the two vehicles. Sir lets discuss on it , may be i am wrong . All my videos in the channel are totally based on my perception and my personal opinions. So always open for good suggestions from people like you . @@MUNDODIVLOGS, whatever changes you mentioned about top speed and gear shifts, take off torque etc you must have experienced practically after changing sprocket from 15 teeth to 16 teeth, isn't . In that scenario the difference in radius 1inch has made the difference. The proportion to the no.of sprocket teeth and tire diameter is no where mentioned. Thanks. 😊👍👍

Hello Sir, lots of Love n Respect from Telangana. Grt informative video n i always learn from ur each video. Sir NEED UR HELP PLSSSSSSS. Sir i hv STANDARD 350 (2019 MODEL) and couple of Days back i have changed its Rear tyre to CLASSIC 350'S . Sir i am really feeling troubled n sad to tell you that i am facing problem with my bike. SIR after changing the tyre THE NEED FOR GEAR SHIFTING HAS INCREASED ...FOR EVERY NOW N THEN GEAR SHIFT HAS TO BE DONE 😢😥 worst Part is i can feel as there seems to be More Pressure created on Engine. Bike is hardly reaching 80km ph (Top speed) that too on Full Throttle 😥😥😢 Sir pls sir i felt YOU ARE THE 1ST SOURCE OF HELP FOR ME. SHOULD I AGAING CHANGE MY REAR TYRE TO THAT OF STANDARD (19") or shld i Do any modification to Sprockets. I hv only installed CLASSIC'S RIM N TYRE (18") and did no more changes. Plssssssssss Sir your suggestion n help means alot to me as i can't see my bike in Trouble. 😢😥

Best solution to solve this problem is to install 16 teeth front sprocket 😊 No need to worry it will be rectified

no need to change classic tyres and wheel rim for broad rear look. you can easly fix 110_90/19 mrf tyres, and ceat tyres on your stock wheel rim assembly. not effect on your vehicle performance brohhh. I prefer all my customers this tyre, I use this tyres for my 2014 model std350, around 2 years. no isdue, better cornering. Got same classic tyre(110_90/18)width.

Mileage is subjective to riding style . You may say a increase of 2 kms . Not more than that . There won’t be any vibration.

Sandeep Dubey I guess your friends bike is having 15 teeth sprocket (may be installed my mechanic while changing sprocket set) instead of 16 teeth which is original factory spec . You can solve the problem of jerks by installing 16 teeth sprocket in classic 350 .

sir lets speak on the gear ratio-actual are 38/15=2.53 36/16=2.37 actually it will reduce the speed when you change from smaller to bigger sprocket

It's 38/16 = 2.37. Speed will reduce only, because the reduced gear ratio.

It works the other way. Lower the derived value, higher the gearing. Lower the value, higher the top speed.

replace your 350cc(6plates) clutch assembly, then fix 500cc(7plates) clutch assembly. use 500cc platinum plug for easy burning and simple cold starting. replace front 16 teeth and fix 18 teeth 500cc sproket.

no std , electra and classic chain and rear sproket is same, 100 links, only changes in frobt sproket. if you fix 500cc,18 teeth front sproket need to chage 102 links chain also

RAVIKIRAN KAMATH If thats the case , i would recommend you to clean your carburettor and change the carburettor diaphragm, and also tune your carburettor properly, i am sure definitely your problem will solve. And regarding vibration complaint some times mechanics will over tighten the chain and also if the chain alignment is not properly done there will be lots of vibration also if they don’t tighten the locknut of your front sprocket then lots of vibration can be seen on the footpegs . Please check your carburettor and get it cleaned also change the diaphragm and slide of carburettor and get it tuned by a experienced mechanic , search for a good mechanic outside rather than begging with re service centre guys .

RAVIKIRAN KAMATH Also please try this tuning process and see if your problem solves . Remember if it doesn’t solve your problem then definitely you have to change your slide and diaphragm of your carburettor, after that you have follow the same tuning procedure as shown in the video . Some mechanics wont be knowing to tune it properly.

No...rather u r reducing the load on engine so engine will be less stressed...will perform better...but better to continue as it is... unless u move at lower speeds and with full load till that time better to u engine potential...
