Just took my special edition E92M3 out for a royal spanking. Decatted and rear silencers out plus AC Schitzner exhaust system. There is no car with this sound - heavenly and Dakar yellow as well....plugged it into the ctek charger now as I’m hardly driving the Beast with lockdown and work from home.

I think leaving my headlights in auto mode caused this discharge on an F15 X5. Using the car wash the comfort access would trigger the convenience lights to turn on several times due to proximity and keep the key fob on me. Now I know what to do!

Wow, my 2016 X1 F48 is driven two times a month or so (very low miles, original owner single driver like new in beautiful special Blue color). I have it on a battery charger always when garaged. I notice a CEL. I have not had any other warning lights on battery or voltage, and when I start the initial voltage range is usually 12.1 to 12.5 volts. Am Perplexed on the CEL and use a BlueDriver to clear CEL warning light (seems to do the clearing of the code automatically and seems to have nothing showing on the code related to the battery, FYI the code is U019D code which seems related to the radiator. Car does not overheat and no other warnings or unusual driving conditions noted). Have used non ethanol mid level octane in US, and thought maybe that is causing this. Do not think the gas cap is loose but have thought to just replace the gas cap maybe. Any thoughts or comments on a fix much appreciated. Aloha.

two days ago, i found same warning on my 2013 320i xdrive, it still runs with its original battery without any start problems. it is 224k km now. i just replaced a new battery because the warning is annoying. just wonder, the old battery is dying or still OK?

Unplug any add ons Inc phone chargers, cigarette lighters etc and leave nothing to trickle when the car is on.. this got rid of my battery message after checking the battery, alternator etc ... Turned out on my old 2009 3 series the lighter (never used) was pressed in all the time, and this was what caused my error message ..

Mine starting doing after a day of no driving or so. I also turned my engine off and it went away. Anyone know if this is common? Is this just when it sits for a day?I also got my battery like 6 months ago. I have had no problems since then.

My e90 lci is 8 years old and still running with the original factory battery that came with the car when new. I always get this warning during the winter, usually when I drive short distances in the city and the battery doesn't have time to recharge. After an hour of driving the message goes away for a few days and only reappears when the charge goes down again. I never get this message during the summer. Maybe very rarely if I am cleaning the car with the doors open interior lights on and music playing with the engine off...maybe...I cannot be sure though. But I can confirm it turns off features in the car. Start-Stop feature has been disabled for some time now, Ocasionally it turns back on after 10 hour drives but then gets disabled again once I resume daily driving habbits. But this is fine with me since I hate start stop. Always freaks me out and can never get used to it. Sometimes in cold winter mornings the defrost will not work when the warning comes on. This has been happening for 3 years now. So there's no need to freak out about it. Other than that no problems. I'm going to get a new battery this year just before winter comes. I think it's time. :) Hope my experience paints a clearer picture for anyone having this error/warning.

So this symbol pops out everytime am driving my car any idea what is wrong change my battery twice sometime car just wont start and needs a jump start tested my alternator it reads at 12.9v something is draining it or it may be the pully thing who knows ???

John Gee I think you’ve answered your own question buddy.. if you drive infrequently, or drive short distances, you must get be taking out more than you’re putting in.

Correct and if your out an about sporting and you shut down engine while you are still in accessory too often. The batteries have a cap charge for cold start. Once you have drained the battery to often sitting the cap loses its charge which effects the charge level held in your battery to become weak and it begins dying. This will normally happen when the batteries life is over. Example 2 yr battery died at 2 yrs it was normal. 5 yr battery showing signs of faster battery depletion before you hit 4 and 5 yrs loss of charging normally then you need a constant charge because of to many heavy drains as the battery never recovers properly. So layman’s term stop sitting with car with motor off but key on in accessory mode, using lights radio ac or heat phone calling and usb charging while the car is not running for long periods.

I have a F82 2015 BMW M4 that uses a lithium ion battery. Every time I start the car I get “increased battery discharge” I contacted my local BMW dealer and some tuner shops and they all tried to charge me $1900+ for the new lithium ion battery. That is just crazy stupid... I am wondering if I can put in a normal battery that matches all the specs to my oem battery in the car. Please help me out

MrEverythingNeeded from what I’ve heard it’s NOT possible to change the lithium battery with a regular battery, I think the cost is about $950 plus coding from the dealer. Have you tried to put a c-tech charger on the car? That battery should last 150,000 miles or 10 years.

This videos is not that helpful as the battery warning can still appear after fitting and registering/coding battery to the car ,the IBS sensor may be faulty or there could still be a drain somewhere on the vehicle,a new battery may have different charging rates or be a different type there are so many things that are not covered here.

Amer Ditta amsuming you registered the new battery it can and will still happen if the cars sitting unused a lot or you’re taking out more power than you are putting in with short journeys

@@carlubetv I make 35minute journey there and back everday....so it gets a decent run out. I get the feeling something is draining the battery. It was completely flat the other day and and had to recharge the battery and for a day the stop/start worked fine....now it doesn't. The battery was registered when fitted by a registered dealer.

Hi only had my 2009 1 series m sport a week kept on having to rest my clock my battery I believe is original went to Halfords and they checked it it it was 71% 2 days ago but a slightly less voltage from my alternator clock has stayed on until tonight at work I sat in car for 10 min on 2 occasions when I left work this morning no clock and a car on ramp warning with codee cc id 415 high battery discharge is it my battery or alternator and do i contact the dealer any advice would be a greatly appreciated subscribed to your chanel it's a great help

I would suggest the battery had seen better days, probably time for a new one. A batteries useful life is about five years, obviously that depends on how long the car remains and used for periods of time.

Smith I have the same issue to after 6 months with the battery, I definitely need a new one though, I put it down to lack of use, when I do drive mine I probably take more out than I put in and the cold weather doesn’t help.

nice video mate, i got exactly same car but 335i :) i get increased battery discharge message on board often. i have to reset time and date each time.. last few months i dont drive the car much once or twice a week local only.. is that the reason battery charge is low? i realised that when i drive the car more often i dont get increased battery discharge message on board.. car has 58000 miles on it.

Ben Tango thank you for your comment, lack of use or an ageing battery is the culprit. If you have a trickle charger get the code charge buddy. Batteries have a life of about five years.

My battery was 10years old and was only holding a charge of 11.6v. No message, no management lights and car started first time every time. I upgraded to a Bosch agm silverline, and had it coded to the car but now BOOM, I get this battery discharge message everytime i get in the car. So annoying. Battery tested and is fine. Nothing plugged in to drain the battery, can anyone help. Car is BMW E60 530D

Paul Holman If you get it worked out I'd love to hear. I have E61 530D and have similar situation. Last battery lasted 13 years! Am planning to go through with an ammeter and check every single fuse to see if I can identify any draw when the car is shut down.

Cassette Walkman Hi yes problem solved for me. When I had the car battery coded, the battery mAh wasn't changed by the garage I took it too. I took my car to a BMW specialist who had the proper bmw diagnostics equipment and they recoded the battery for me making sure the AGM was registered with the correct mAh. No error messages since. Hope this helps

That does sound more like a service fuse, I know they’re a pain to get to but worth checking them all.

@rizwanumar9343 I use protool with my MHD adapter. I think you have to pay for the protool license but I don't think it was that expensive. Also remember to match the battery type on the app with the one you have in the car.
