I really wish his team/publicist would get more media out there about him, because the world needs to see more of his talent. Can't drive the brand when your team isn't getting the work done, and up until a few days ago, there hasn't been anything on KZbin in years. I feel like there's big/missed opportunity there.

I agree.All of his movies are amazing and he is so underrated.
@melaniewood2619 Жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you. I think covid may have put a dampener on things for him for a while, maybe the film Little Fish for example didn't do as well as it should have. But now, he needs to make up for lost time. I think he must be quite selective in the projects he chooses to work on. You can't beat working with Michael Mann and SAS Heroes was excellent. Maybe he needs a massive big budget film to get him into the limelight. Anyway, we all want more of Jack O'Connell. He really has something 😁
@cou9553 Жыл бұрын
he could want a low profile too, you never know. actors like robert pattinson purposely didn't hire a publicist and literally hid making small movies after Twilight for a good decade. some love their privacy
@jojomarch Жыл бұрын
Not everyone sees themself as a brand (than god!), I'm sure at his level he could get more publicity etc if he wanted it. He's always come across as very intelligent and concerned with his craft, above anything else and clearly chooses roles carefully. I'm sure he's fine!
@77bluegold Жыл бұрын
@@melaniewood2619 Yeah. In an interview, he said that he was glad to be back on a sound stage after all the work disappeared in 2020 because of Covid

Jack really did well in every single movie he made. He doesn't need to put himself in a movie which this generation has interested in because he is amazing in his role. I just can't explain how he amazingly choose roles. I honestly loved all his characters in a movie. He deserves so much recognition in this industry. Actor like Jack has to be seen in big screens. His acting is always and always outstanding for me. One of the roles I want to see him portraying is Jason Bourne. I guess he would play that kind of character very well. Just saying about this lad.

Amazing show! Very good work for all involved in the making of this well thought TV series. Plz let it be as it is...no need of a second season nevertheless I'm deeply wishing it so badly! Once more congratulations to all the folks that worked to make it one of the best shows that I watched lately! A little word to this young actor: just stay focuses and take careful with your future choices because you're one of the great actors of our times. This is the only work that I watched from you and I can say that you're the level of Tom Hardy easily! Keep up! Cheers from Portugal!

Respectfully, you should do some research on Jack’s filmography. He is far greater than Tom Hardy, and already has a firm grasp on the types of roles he should chase. He’s quite a phenomenal actor and human.
@MGBranco3 жыл бұрын
@@millymillymilly yes actually I realised that I already saw some of his movies; money monster, unbroken and Eden lake. You're right he's very good on his craft. Just finished Starred up and I was impressed! I like Tom Hardy too specially in Taboo and Peaky Blinders...

He was playing the doctor on the ship with such a self-discipline that I would not describe it as academic. He was not academic in his behavior at all but in his profession. He was a man with a horrific background and serious dependency on opium but he was curious and openminded limitless till the presence of a psychopath confronted him with the inevitable reality of human beings: there are good and bad characters everywhere.

I finally got to see this show. And wow, it's great to see how well Mr O'connell can portray someone who is wulnerable and a less of a "stereotypical alpha with issues". I'd like to have a conversation with this artist about his opinion on word choices, colloquialism, just language in general...

I love Jack O'Connell. But it kills me that if Jack would be a huge star if his English accent was posh like Nicholas Hoult or James McAvoy. Jack has admitted that his accent has limited some roles for him. I wish the casting directors would look at his talent and get him a dialect coach after they give him the job.
