Hello Timothy! I'm typing as I go. Good video. #1) You asked what I would change. Well for one, in the Living Room I'd put a sofa with recliners built-in with it's back to the "foyer". And leave out that table they have in the "foyer". A sofa with one or two recliners built-in in front of the windows as well as the same kind of sofa where they have one sitting. Wouldn't need lone chairs as long as the sofas have recliners built-in. I would also have a Wood-burning Fireplace/insert, or a Gas Fireplace put on the far wall where they have the TV. I'd have the TV above the fireplace. Carpet in the Living Room. If I changed my mind about having sofas with recliners built-in, then I would put two recliners with their backs to the "foyer". #2) In the Dining Room where the hutch is, that's where my Grandma's China Cabinet would go! We'd put just a four seater Table in there as it's just the two of us. And yes, we would have an enclosed porch/deck built outside the Dining Room Door! I like that door by the way, and window beside it. #3) In the Kitchen, the big island may just be okay, as it looks like there's room to go around it even in a wheelchair. It's too big to put wheels on and move it around, but in this case, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. Actually the Microwave would have to be moved to the island; microwave is too high for me above the stove, and as I can't climb, I wouldn't be able to reach it at all where it's shown. I'd want a Gas Cook Stove. I Love the Pantry! I'd have wood shelves though. We don't really need a dishwasher so we'd have cabinets or drawers in it's place. #4) In the Utility Room, I'm disappointed there's no room for a freezer and that the furnace and water heater aren't in there where they really should be! But although the sink in there is nice, according to the floorplan (if I'm reading it correctly), we should be able to remove the sink area and be able to have access to the water heater in the utility room. [Floorplan shows access to the water heater in the Master Closet, and that is a Big NO from me!]. We'd build a Garage outside that back door of course. So we'd have a Storage area built inside the garage with a place to put a big Freezer, and probably a Pet Shower/bath as well. #5) Okay. The hallway is very nice! But as there's more than one Linen Cabinet inside the Guest Bathroom, I might put the water heater where the Linen Cabinet is there beside the Furnace. If not enough room, I'd leave the Cabinets in the hallway, and put the water heater in the Guest Bathroom, next to the commode. If I'm reading the floorplan correctly, the water heater access is in the Master Closet! And that is a firm NO for me! (If we put the water heater in either place here, we can leave the sink area alone in the utility room)! That is a very big Tub in the guest bathroom! I like it. Too bad I can't use it as I can't get in and out of a regular tub. But my husband will love it! I would move the commode closer to the tub, giving equal room on both sides of the commode. If the water heater can be put in the hallway beside the furnace, then we'd probably cut the Cabinets by the commode down to just a single layer instead of the double, which would then give us plenty of room around the commode. #6) The Guest Bedroom closes to the living room would be left as is. Of the other two guest bedrooms, the biggest one, along with it's closet, would be turned into my Library with a small sitting area with a small gas fireplace/heater and a carpet in the sitting area. The other guest bedroom , 3/4's of it would be enclosed and soundproofed for my Music Studio Room, and the other 1/4 would be my Office Room with carpet. #7) The Master Bedroom is very nice and spacious. Love the Closet opening into the bedroom! And the Closet is a very good size. As already noted, the only thing, according to the floorplan (you didn't show it or say anything about it Timothy), is the water heater access being in the closet, which is a NO for me! [What I'd do about is listed above.]. In the Master Bathroom I don't use a makeup area as such, so level that area up to the countertop on the Vanity. That will make the Vanity a very good one. I would need to change the tub to a Handicapped Tub Shower Combo for me. The shown Shower will do nicely for husband and he can use the big tub in the guest bedroom when he wants a bath (as I said before, he will love that tub!). I love all those Cabinets behind the bathroom door! I would turn the commode around facing the shower giving me more room around the commode. I think if possible, I'd have a Pocket Door put in, instead of the door shown for the bathroom. Wouldn't be any danger of hitting the cabinets and scaring them up with Pocket Doors. #8) We'd put as many porches or decks or patios around the house as possible; some enclosed and some just covered. Mostly enclosed though, for year-round use. Pretty good video Timothy! Except for not showing, nor saying anything, about the water heater access being in the Master Closet as the floorplan shows it is. You're forgiven for missing just one thing in the entire house! I'd probably miss lots of things! God bless you and you're family Timothy!

I liked this one overall but the laundry room wastes a lot of space. I would move it down to the end of the FR near the bedrooms. Then, increase the size of the master closet. Also, change kitchen to L shape w/a corner pantry. The master bath layout could be much more functional. Overall, though, it's really nice.

You said thud was a Schult. Having been a repo rep for a mobile home finance co the two best built brands were Schult and Friendship. This isa great plan for a family. Way too big for a single or a couple retirees. That kitchen was great.

I love this floor plan. The things I would change for myself, NO WIRE SHELVES! Change cabinets to white. I live in a mobile home with wire shelves. I HATE them, especially in the pantry. It is so difficult to keep items standing on those shelves and they leave ugly marks in clothes and linens.

I had wire shelves in closets too. I went to the dollar store and bought tons of foam core board and cut it to the size of wire shelves, laid it on top, problem solved. No more ugly lines in clothes and smaller stuff stands up better.

Not My ideal home but like enough to consider. My only concern is that the kitchen doesn't have enough upper cabinets. I'd have either a gas log or wood burning traditional style fireplace put in the living room.
