There's an old factory where near I live that has intrigued me for ages now, in summer, the loading lots are always flooded, there's never any activity, I've never seen anyone come or go, with one exception. I once saw someone in a construction uniform in the parking lot, alone.

It was horrendous, couldn't go anywhere near it without feeling like I was going to throw up!

If you touched it and have a open wound seek advice on further care as its a highly damaging compound that causes chronic tissue damage. Also excessive inhaling of the vapours can cause severe repertory issues. If you did neither you'll be fine.

I'd love to go exploring but I'd be the one who gets a broken leg or falls down a hole lol

Haha, some of these places are REALLY unstable, some of the floorboards have been rotting for over 10 years and one wrong foot can send you through the floor, it's one of those things we have to watch for and make sure we're as safe as possible but the photographs we are able to get makes it worth it.

I want to know what those chemicals were though. Maybe they're toxic?

As a kid I lived near a chemical plant that produced sulphuric acid and that used to smell really horrible like cross between rotten fish and gas to describe it, the place is long gone now though.

I remember that smell of rotten eggs in high school; though Sulphur Hydroxide is not a chemical formula. There is a Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) that is used in other chemicals such as Sulfuric Acid. Hydrogen Sulfide gas is what causes the rotten egg smell. I thought it rather funny to see a child's sport car n the shop. You should carry protection for breathing with you when exploring. I wonder if the water under the floor was toxic.
