Really cool little cabin! Just two potential negatives, the tree bark wall finish, and the textured sink. Both look great, but will be an absolute nightmare to keep clean. Otherwise, I'm with you! Fantastic model.

I hate farm sinks . The bark can go and rhe baby blue trim paint. Red would be cutrr. The mantle is nice but seems wrong. Too big. And my lungs can't hack real fires.

My personal experience, living in, and cleaning, a log home with rough cedar single walls on the upper level for the past 8yrs is, vacuuming doesn't work as well as one would think, and it sure isn't easy. But, to each their own. It's none of my business if you want to spend time vacuuming walls and sink aprons. Me? I have other interests.

I’m in love. What a great home!!!! The designer knew what they were doing on every inch of space. The only thing I would change is a small wood burner instead of fireplace. THANK you for this wonderful tour.

The house is absolutely adorable!! The only thing is the location of the bathroom, it’s right by the front door in the entrance! I see why they did it that way, to have easy access to the back deck from the living area. I could definitely live in this gorgeous, unique, magical cottage for sure!! Great tour 😘👍

It would have made more sense if they had swapped the bathroom with the laundry. Then at least the bathroom is more central to the rest of the house. As someone who needs the bathroom in the middle of the night, I don't want to have to trek down a hallway for it.

The designated bedroom is across the entry hall from the bathroom. I agree the placement isn't ideal. If the bathroom & kitchen switched, you would have better 'great room' flow. You might be able to use pocket doors & separate the sink/toilet from a separate shower room or sink/shower space. This would give max efficiency when you had guests with people being able to use the separated space at the same time. It's cute.

Beautiful beautiful home. I'd never guess it's modular. I love everything about it except the tiny bedroom with no ensuite bath. Bump the house back 6 feet and it would be sublime.

Saved! I Love it! I can see this with a bit more cost, larger rooms, larger deck, and a full second bedroom with or without another bath! I personally would have done lighter colors for the kitchen to make the room feel much larger and a lot less thickness to the stair rail would open up that main living room area even more!

I AGREE. Too thick of wood railings. Can't see THROUGH them. Small branches would be much better if you want rustic look..I would. Or iron rails going up/down to the loft. I rather have wood branches.. love the log cabin look. GOD BLESS YOU.

Totally agree with your suggestions. The lack of storage space kills this for me, so a bit more cost and larger rooms (add about three feet in every direction) would make it doable. Either that or a basement would help! Yes to the lighter kitchen and YES to the more low profile stairway. I also think that if you're only going to have one bathroom, it simply needs to be bigger. There's no place for towel/linen storage at all, for example.

Not to be critical, but if you do all that to the house, then it wouldn't be "that house"! You could use it as a basis for what extras you'd like, but as a single person, I would love that one...not too big to take care of and with everything necessary.

Hi Jenni, Blue ridge log cabins does service most of the country and even into Canada 😊 beyond that for me anyway I am trying to hit all 50 states. It just depends on the amount of locations I can find to tour and if they’ll let me. But we will get there eventually lol

I do love it, but wondered what the issue was with the staining on the chimney outside? Drainage? Also, with such a small space it would have been nice to take the kitchen cabinets up higher to give more storage space, as I didn’t notice a whole lot of storage. I would have also gone with lighter kitchen counters and sink, just to give it a lighter, more spacious look. I do think it has a ton of charm and personality.

Beautiful cabin, it’s adorable. I’d close off one of the sides of the loft ( enough for possibly 3’ high) to make a closet / storage space. It’s fine for a BNB or short stays but not great for full time living.

When I hear whimsical I think fairy cottage not timber lodge but this is a lovely "alone in the woods" home. I would definitely claim the loft as a bedroom if I were 20 years younger but when the time comes to grab one of these, the ground floor bedroom across from the bathroom would be ideal. I love that bark panel wall!

I was initially concerned about storms when I saw that this is a modular home, but....check this out. "Modular homes hold up well during hurricanes and tornadoes. Research shows that they are even better prepared for storm-related damage than traditional homes because of how they are built. As a result, modular homes are likely to survive hurricanes and tornadoes with minimal to no damage." Nice to know!
