Just a pity that the officials in this match spoiled a good game. Seriously, the standards of the refs, their assistants and the TMO's remains the weakest link in rugby at the moment. Trying to grow the game while allowing a handful of people to make it almost unwatchable is counter productive. World rugby has GOT to deal with the problems of blatantly incorrect calls. Rugby has gone from one referee to a whole team and panel with access to incredible technology, & yet they get more wrong now that was ever the case with that single ref assisted by two linesmen.

Spoiled how? Because your team HAD to win?

@@NoName-hg6cc LOL, I wasn't even talking about winning or losing ... I was talking about the poor quality of the officials ... so the fact you twisted it to something else only shows your bias and agenda. As just ONE fun exercise ... rewatch the game and count the number of forward passes - one of rugby's easiest rules to remember - and then we can start on the more technical stuff. Careful you don't embarrass yourself in public anymore with half baked comments. Also, get a name. Being a big deal online while hiding behind a 'NoName" tag is typically juvenile.

It will provoke a response, I am sure, but I am glad SA lost. With the exception of the this try, most of South Africa's game plan consists of trundling - the worst part of the men's game, with little of the best part of the women's game, namely athleticism and dexterity. The women's game is more fun to watch than the men's game precisely because of these attributes, it makes my heart sink to see it played purely as 'boshing'. There is no need, either; I am sure that there are plenty of athletic young women in South Africa that could play a more creative game

Wow, how self important are you. All rugby teams must play the way you like ...not the way that's best for them or winning? Never mind the other millions of fans ... all of that comes second to your enjoyment? Meanwhile, In the real world, you either watch the sport because you enjoy it ... or you don't ... but you never get to act all entitled like it must change to your preferences. Sounds to me like you want to watch rugby sevens, but took a wrong turn and ended up at 15's. There's a difference. For a reason.

@@LittleBigMediaCo I wouldn't be seen dead eating either. I have been watching and playing rugby for a long time. At its best, women's rugby has the same class and excitement as Wales in the early 80s, which was the zenith of the men's game. That's why England women get crowds of 50,000. That match was a demonstration of the style and class of the women's game against a low skill version of the current men's game. I am glad the latter lost, because it offers no route to growing the number of spectators, which were pathetic at both WXV 1 and WXV 2.
