@@cathifamjourney469 yes, but the circumstances are very rare, you need powerful northen lights, no wind, and away from anything that makes any noise... but It really is something to behold and you feel like you could stand there for days, the closest thing I can compere the sound to is someone walking trough a curtain of 10.000 tiny glass beads but you standing about half a mile away

You really know how to capture the stunning beauty of the places you visit. 😍😍😍 This could be a promo video for Iceland tourism. These views of Iceland are on par with the awe inspiring views of Scotland.😍😍😍 Your next adventure will surely be a let down when compared to this wonderland. I really hate the snow and ice, (and the crowds) but I could endure all of that for a chance to experience Iceland. 😍😍😍Reminds me of Canada and Alaska. Without the bears and moose.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Shaun, thank you so much for this wonderful vlog!! It must be almost a religious moment when experiencing the lights. I could hear it in your voices, very emotional. I was getting teary eyed right along with you! This may seem like a stupid question, but.....do the work days there begin like at 8 or 9am like in the US? Or begin when its light? It must be strange with sunrise and sunset so close together. The ice was beautiful in shades of blue, absolutely breathtaking beach/lagoon so sad that we all are still contributing to the melting glaciers. When will the world wisen up and actually do something to help nature😭

Great video. I have been to very few countries and thankfully, Iceland, was one of them. It's an incredibly country and very unusual. I thought it was cool some of my DNA is from Iceland. No wonder I like cold weather! BTW, we were there a week and The Blue Lagoon was the last place to visit on the way to airport. It was cool but my least fav thing of the week...that's how awesome Iceland is, people! :-)
@maobfh4 жыл бұрын
I was surprised to hear you say that the cold was brutal, thinking Scotland was so much higher in latitude. I was doubly surprised to see that the Northern US is higher in latitude than Scotland. So, yes, I suspect it was quite a bit colder. The Northern Lights have always been quite high on my bucket list and Iceland, as well, because they are known for stunning and frequent episodes of this light. I keep hoping but responsibilities keep me home and the clock is ticking. In the meantime, I have searched KZbin and images of the Northern Lights and I will be honest. Your video, even when the camera insisted on focusing on the city lights, is hands down the best video for someone who wants to see them and never have. No, the images were okay but this was the closest I have ever come to actually experiencing them. And the lighting of the mesas and the mountains were epic. It must have been the Ern Bru. As good a guess as any and now I want to see Iceland for its own sake. Thank you for what you have just done. I am awestruck..
