Nice, but they didn’t deserve the score they got.....but since it’s Russia, even an error like losing an apparatus (0:26, the gymnast on the left of the screen doesn’t catch the ribbon that falls to the floor and she loses seconds to pick it up) is punished less severely. And I’m sures of it, I’ve seen it happen at every Olympic Games since Athens 2004.

Arun vijay Jelous!? _AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH_ I don’t need to be jealous, my country’s national rhythmyc gymnastics team has beaten the russian team and won gold and other medals in plenty of world championships, world cups and other main competitions including olympic games. And I agree with you their second apparatus was awesome, but I’m also objective: it’s impossible to appreciate - and in fact nobody does - when athletes gets rewarded despite performing badly (thus hindering other athletes who deserve it a lot more). Pls stop fanboying and be a little objective...

I completely agree - and this was far from their only mistake! At 00:50 the gymnast in the centre (Bliznuyk, same one who dropped the ribbon at 00:26) fails to rebound the ribbon with her hips, causing it to drop. Several more fumbles including at 00:42 (Bliznyuk again, threw the ribbon too far causing the other gymnast to run for it) and then at 1:10 the gymnast in the far right (Maksimova) didn't throw the ribbon properly, making her fellow gymnast (Tatareva) nearly fall trying to catch it. In other words, A MESS. Their Hoops & Clubs however was flawless.

Ира Чащина, сделав малейшую ошибку, осталась без золота, Яна Батыршина, уранив ленту при передачи палочки из руки в руку стала второй, Яна Кудрявцева уронила, стала второй и это тоже все ОИ. Хотя в случае с Яной Кудрявцевой, она шла первой по всем видам, но потеряла булаву. И тут скорее не Линой надо винить, она выходила и делала свое дело, показывала свои способности, а вот правила и судейство это уже точно не Линой под себя все придумывала. А групповые заслуженно стали первые, вы их второй вид посмотрите, неимоверно сложно и я про 2016 год групповые Россию..! Их сложность в этом виде зашкаливающая, о которой и другим не снилось!

2019, pole dancing should be an olympic event. Three classes with break down in events. Standardized poles. Heights, gaps and mounting systems so anyone can build an olympic standard competition pole set up. Single on 1pole, single on 3pole Doubles on a 1pole, doubles on 3 pole Team of 5 on 5 pole 5-8min routine, scored and judge like figure skating. Be warned, just like all sport played at that level. There will be death.

Trevor Guerrero Because it's popular in many countries and involves athleticism, dexterity, hand eye coordination, flexibility etc. Like there are absolutely no reasons why it shouldn't be a sport...? Also for me and many others rhythmic gymnastics is the only reason to watch the Olympics, for me aesthetic sports are far more interesting.
