Totally agree! Ronald Reagan is my favorite President too. One of my favorite jokes he told was about the three legged chicken.😂

I proudly voted for Ronald Reagan for President twice. He's the only person I had total confidence in when he was in the Oval Office. He understood the American Dream and the American People because he was born and raised in the Heartland. Not perfect, no body is, but close.

My husband and I voted for Reagan and really liked him. Surprisingly when we visited Europe 5 times during his Presidency, the European who knew we were Americans were so critical of Reagan. We didn’t argue or engage them, but we were surprised and disappointed. So glad he is being recognized as a great President now.

Man oh man, I miss his leadership and kindness as it was grounded in the American dream for everyone. That is something missing from both sides now a-days. Decency to our fellow Americans, who would have thought that was something neither side seems to know how to do right now.

I'm from Northern California and remember when he was our governor and yes, I was 18 going on 19 when he became our President. He was my favorite President too for vatious reasons. Wish he was still alive to be our President but at least he left our nation a great leader, one not only respected by us Americans, our troops, our allies but also feared by our enemies. He was a high moral man, filled with integrity plus he had a great sense of humor. He left an indelible mark on many not only here but worldwide.

Reagan is my hero. I was a young boy into young teenage years when he was President. The prosperity he brought my country I could see even as a small child. To me he is the last President to really do what's best for the American people. He was not perfect as no man or woman is. It was evident he cared about our country.

This man was probably the best friend Britain ever had in a US president. He had much respect for the UK and Her Majesty. Queen Elizabeth ll was the only member of Brit RF who got to ride on AirForce1 courtesy of president Reagan

The reason we all like Ronald Reagan is his simple and truthful speeches. He was called the Great Communicator!!!

Reagan was our last great president. He was a moderate he had allies on both sides of the isles. We don't have that anymore, it's either extreme left or extreme right, and it's like that world wide. We've got to get back to that.

Reagan is one of the very few politicians I find influential. Modern politicians tell us what's wrong with our nation which discourages people. Reagan told us what's right with our nation and encouraged people to be better

We need Ronald Reagan now. He was hilarious. He warned us about the happenings of today. I voted for him twice despite the school district’s objections. They always back the democrats and liberals.

I seem to remember this was Reagan's farewell speech at the end of his presidency. I heard him say it. Also I lived in Washington DC when he passed away and saw his funeral procession to the Capitol. I remember there was a horse carrying boots facing backwards. I had never seen that.

I have a part of my mind that's pretty cynical. To counter it, I've tried to keep in mind what Capt. Dylan Hunt said to Tyr Anasazi in one of the first episodes of "Andromeda": "Pessimism is NOT a survival trait!" You can temper hope with reality, but you MUST have hope, or you'll see trying as a waste of effort.

Reagan was an inspiration, not just for his time, but for today…if people would just take the time to listen! He had the ability and courage to take a speechwriter’s words, inserting his own observations and heartfelt ideas/ideals, until it was truly his own!!! I say courage because in probably his most famous speech ( his tear down this wall speech) his advisors were dead set against him saying this! They kept taking it out…not until he was going over the speech a final time on his way to the wall did he reinsert the famous line that would ultimately leave the Berlin Wall a pile of rubble and cause the collapse of the “Iron Curtain” all across Europe! That was Ronald Reagan….

I was 24 when Reagan became President . Interest rates on a home loan were 13% on avg , the country had lost the feeling that we are America and we can do anything ! Ronald Reagan brought that back to Us ! and slowly the country came back and pride in Our Country swelled. A Time For Choosing , is a powerful speech , and damn the man could tell a joke .

I voted for both Ronald Reagan and Donald J Trump, and I love them both, but if 20 years from now I got a chance to vote between them I'd vote for Trump. Yeah, President Ronald Reagan had GREAT speeches, but he wasn't nearly as strong as President Donald Trump is and Trump has move mountains and will move more mountains. And not just for the US Americans, but for the good of people all over the world. People don't like what he says, but it's not what he says that gets things done... it is his strength of will and ability to see the much bigger picture annnnnd the people he keeps around himself. People who are for the people. His perspective you speak of is the USA mentality... don't get me wrong, there are those here in the US who don't have that mentality, but the majority of people do have that mentality.

I think people need to be self-motivated, they should not rely on a government official for it. Be careful about aligning yourself with the two major parties in the US, neither have good leadership right now and haven't for a long time. I was raised in a left wing Democratic household but I am a moderate Independent, I vote for the candidate that I think is the best person for the job, regardless of their party affiliation, so I have refrained from voting sometimes as the only way I can protest the lack of good candidates to choose from. Biden is better at foreign affairs, terrible at domestic, and his choice of running mate is absolutely horrific. Donald Trump is an absolute mad man. How do you pick from those two? Regan was a good orator but when you really look at his record, there were some significant problems, which is why he has the nickname, Teflon Ron. Still, he did believe in the American Dream and promoted it, which I appreciate about him.
