Absolutely best sermon I heard on John the Baptist. Your sermon on " cookies"( back during the plandemic),blessed me so much as I almost lost my job, my home, but knew the Lord didn't want me to take the cookie. Even my beloved Labrador retriever was dying with cancer. But God showed me His faithfulness in my obedience. He made me brave! Thank you for your ministry. You are blessing a starving church out here with such nourishment...

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I had always knew there was some higher power out there, but I did not live by any religion, because I could never get myself to believe. Jeff you have truly saved me, as I am now 100% confident that Jesus will return if we continued to preach the gospel.

jwarnerification If I may suggest a few teachers to get into. They're very different from each other, & I don't agree 100% with any one man, but I think that's important. "The God Journey" podcast, learning to live in God's love & the relational aspect of the faith. Dr James white's debates, helped me to understand how God preserved his scriptures. Dr Michael Brown, helped me understand how Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies of the messiah. Dr Michael Heiser, is good for understanding the context of scripture & the supernatural side of things. There are many others so feel free to contact me anytime with any question or suggestions. Have fun getting messy in the banquet of knowledge! With my sincere love, God bless you & may the Holy Spirit guide you into all truth & protect you from error.

As much as I cherish the freedoms we have in this country today, becoming a rebel against the person God ordained to sit on the throne is not biblically justifiable. Our founding fathers are heroes in a secular sense, but not in a spiritual sense like John the Baptist.

I like the way he said john knew he wasn’t cool enough to mess around with Jesus’s feet! And that he took a stand against governing authority’s. I was looking specifically for sermons on him... but I really am flabbergasted about how he’s like the only guy that seemed to get hurt, unto death, while Jesus was healing people and even raised from the dead at that time, like why not John....

Please read the following and get enlightened (this is the ONLY sound biblical teaching which will clear out all misunderstandings and doubts): Jesus was baptized by John for one reason only: to receive, as a sacrificial Lamb, the sins of the whole world! Jesus was lamb, according to Leviticus 16, and John was the last earthly High Priest, as he was from the family of Aaron. He passed the sins of all people who ever lived in he world, onto Jesus at that moment in Jordan river. This is why John said the next day: "Lo, here goes the Lamb of God who takes away the SIN O FTHE WORLD!" (John 1:29) Notice, the "sin of the world" means ALL sins, committed by ALL people, at ALL times of human history. Jesus came to eliminate sin to the core, and for that He had to take on himself ALL sins, without exception. Therefore He was able later to lift them up to the cross. He would not be able to lift any sins to the cross unless He first took them on Himself, because as we all know, He himself was sinless. All happened according to God's Law, established in the Leviticus 16 and Exodus. This is also why Jesus said to John that by the baptism, they were to "Fulfill ALL righteousness"! (Mat.3:15). Why would He say so if the baptism wasn't really a pivotal point in the salvation of mankind? All righteousness of God consists in expression of His ultimate love, and this means saving people fro all their sins and the following judgement for those sins. So Jesus took those sins from the John, the High Priest, by laying on of hands (according to Leviticus 16), and the was immediately taken to the wilderness, just like the OT scapegoat was taken to wilderness for Azazel (which is Devil). That's why Jesus encountered Devil in the wilderness! But because Jesus was Son of God, devil wasn't able to trick him and tempt him. So Jesus successfully carried all our sins throughout his 3 years of life on his body and then went up to the cross, to receive the punishment for them, because the wages of sins had to be paid. Then scripture confirms it, showing us that salvation consists of faith in three things: "Spirit, Water and Blood" (1 John 5:8), by which Jesus came. Spirit is His divinity and resurrection, water is His baptism by John and blood is his blood on the cross, the payment for sins. Believing this truth gives you deep fundamental understanding of the scriptura meaning of salvation and cleanses your heart from ALL SINS, at once! Because now you clearly see that Jesus took ALL your sins, past, present and future, and eliminated them all in His body. He knew you would NOT be able to deal with them on your own, so He did it all for you. This is now the COMPLETE message of Salvation in the Gospel. Believing only in Jesus blood is not enough, because people in this case do not have foundation for unshakeable faith that ALL their sins were actually laid on Jesus. But now they know, and this knowledge give them foundation for unshakeable faith, that is salvation. Receiving this faith, one receives Holy Spirit immediately, because his/her heart now becomes completely without sin, as Paul said, "but now, having become free from sin....you heartily follow that godly example....etc" (quoting by memory), I think its Romans 6:18. No one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are sinless, e.g. free from sin, and this is never achieved by our efforts, but only by faith in above message. Amen!

I appreciate what you do for the Kingdom, I enjoy much of what you preach and have benefited from many of your ministries. However, I feel the Lord brought to mind the word humility... I went to a church like yours, who preached things like this, they were radical and on-fire and did great exploits for the Kingdom.. They would preach this kind of thing and-- maybe would make an altercall for repentance, but in the end never changed... in their actions and behind the scenes, they always saw themselves as the John The Baptist, the misunderstood prophets, when, in reality, many times they turned into a religious institution. Because it looked different than catholics or JW, or other obvious institutions and bad doctrine, they claimed they weren't going off course... but they did... bad. Their ultimate failures weren't in doctrine and institutional practices, but rather, they failed to humble themselves and see themselves as the Pharisees in need of changing-- they always saw themselves as the hero and viewed opposing voices as persecution when they were simply trying to help-- they shut them out, pushed radical boundaries again and again and seeing them today... it's so sad to see them today. May the Lord continue to bless you as you humble yourselves with every step

Out teacher says God can use Christians at a Halloween party, playing dungeons as dragons. These were all testimonials of Christians who went out and met sinners in their in there mist. Tell me what do you think. The lesson was to speak in kindness not in a way that turns people away.

Oh I know with no doubt that you have the holy spirits power to achieve and commence with any/all services which you render unto God as his good steward, excellent student, respectable advocate, notably fair in all your ways, excessively burdened; yet eager to achieve the goals, acts and responsibilities which have been sanctioned into your cares. Be weary and apprehensive to dig the more in foundational relics as they soon will have outwardly amassed their yields. The hands which had their space in containments has all but chimed it's very last appointment! Tic, tic, time, as from one fellow to another has only been granted to remain a shallow breath of mine. Shalom and Blessings to you and your individual body, may all of the activities be yours to enjoy as very soon they will have no usefulness and this will not be our norm, not at all, Praise His Holy Name!

Jesus says . Matt. 11: 4 "and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come." Obviously they did not accept John as Elijah. And Elijah must come first...so that is why Jesus could not be accepted. Therefore we must learn from this tragedy to have faith when all seems lost that God has a timetable and a plan that may seem impossible to us.

HI Although that is true, Jesus/ Yeshua was ' The lamb slain from the foundation of the world' and Him being rejected, though it must have rent His heart, was part and parcel of His sacrificial death, and subsequent resurrection in glory which He embraced ' For the glory that was set before Him He endured the cross, even the cross of shame'. Was John blinded when Jesus came out of the water after being baptized ? Did he, or did he not see the Spirit of God resting on Jesus as a Dove? Why then did he not have faith when in prison? Why did he have to ask one of his followers to ask Jesus if he was Christ ? The Bible says that John was filled with the Holy Spirit even before birth... So where was his faith?

Eden Garden Unfortunately, you are quite wrong for according to Luke, John sent a message to Jesus, from prison asking "Are you the one who was to come, or are we to look for someone else?’” Luke 17:19-23 John we find was filled with doubt concerning Jesus as the alleged Messiah.
@edengarden6811
@edengarden6811 6 жыл бұрын
Edward Longfellow John was in prison, he did not see anything Jesus did, only heared things about Him. He had much time to think about it all and also much time to doubt. He had no way of knowing if it was the same man that he had baptized. And since there were a few impostors at that time claiming to be the Messiah, John sent his disciples to ask him a direct question, knowing that the Messiah - including the person he baptized - would give an answer that only the Messiah would give. And keep in mind that we do not have the actual word for word question that they asked. But it's not hard to imagine that John asked his disciples to go and see if the man he'd been hearing so much about was the same man that he'd baptized in the Jordan river. Also keep in mind that because John knew he wouldn't be alive much longer, he wanted to make sure that he wouldn't be sending his disciples to follow a false Messiah. So he wanted to ensure this was the person that he had baptized.
@edwardlongfellow5819
@edwardlongfellow5819 6 жыл бұрын
Eden Garden Unfortunately, your reasoning does not stand up to examination. If John wanted to make sure his disciples spoke only to the true Messiah then it is quire clear that his disciples had no idea what the real Messiah looked like.However we may discard that notion as there was only one preacher preacher/Messiah named Jesus spreading the words of his teachings to the masses. There may of course have been other 'Messiahs' at that time but strangely no gospel writer named them,. And if Jesus did indeed receive a message from the man whom he had called the greatest man on earth what then was his response. Why Jesus sadistically sent word back that he was busy working miracles. Jesus did not bother to not fly on wings of mercy to aid John or send an angel with a flaming sword to free him from Herod’s dungeon. The Miracle Worker we find was simply too busy to save the greatest man in the world from Herod’s dungeon prison-as he had once called John. A friend in a time of need is a friend indeed... But not where Jesus was concerned it seems.

So what really happened is that Peter, Paul and a few other guys were watching Mary Magdalene and her friends take their weekly baths in the river. After they left they saw Jesus and John up river and they were playing some kind of naked dunking game. So Peter says, "Hey, what are you guys doing?" Jesus and John were caught off guard so John says, "Oh... um.... I'm dunking Jesus in the river like that story we heard in school about Achilles. You know, make him immortal." So the guys kinda say, "Oh, ok, whatever." As they are walking away Peter says, "Those two are always playing grab ass somewhere while the rest of us men are spying on the ladies." Then Paul says, "That John guy is Batshit Crazy, and now he's playing some naked dunking game with Jesus. I mean.... not that there's anything wrong with that." So from then on they referred to John as "John the Batshit". Move ahead a few centuries, several different language translations of the story, and "Batshit" became "Baptist". So basically the Baptist religion is based on some Baptist, aka "Batshit", naked guys dunking each other in a river.

John the Baptist came with the power and the mission of Elijah. Being the last prophet of the Old Testament, he handed the entire foundation of the Old Testament to Jesus when he baptized him. His main responsibility was to then follow and make straight the way of the Messiah to the people, because he was so famous among the people, thus becoming Jesus' main disciple. BUT, John did not understand his mission for many reasons, and he WALKED away from Jesus. Jesus lost the main person who could bring the people of Israel to Jesus. John died a shameful death because of his faithlessness. Jesus said the the LEAST in the Kingdom of Heaven was greater than John the Baptist, meaning John was not allowed to enter the Kingdom.

Hi Actually the word ' Locust' is a mistranslation of ' St. John's bread' which is the carob tree. He was living in the wilderness [ to avoid the corrupt leadership at the time.] and as he was of the Levitical priestly caste, which took turns serving in the Temple in Jerusalem like his father, He was actually the High priest at the time of Jesus's baptism. Jesus/ Yeshua is since then the High priest of the order of Melchisedek,[ Not the Levitical line which needs replacing due to the death of it's High priests] as stated in the book of Hebrews. Shalom to you in Christ Yeshua.

This is where this video got wrong about John the Baptist. I feel sad that this great man keep confused just like they did during his time. If you read John chapter 1 the whole massage is about John identifying Jesus as the son of God. Very openly. John was never confused about Jesus identity , never. All the questions about Jesus was for his followers and everyone , not for John. These 2 knew each very well. Each did what they were sent to do. John wasn't expected to go further after he baptised Jesus, his job was very much done at tjis point and he even revealed this to his disciples. And Jesus, remember he describe John precisely more than anyone knew about. Every thing was supposed to happen just like that, perfectly .

Amen!

What if someone is intrigued by the word "epic" and they click on it and listen and it changes their life or perspective on something and they grow closer to God and are encouraged to seek Him and love Him more? Would it be ok? It's an opinion that's describing the message..

Luke 7:23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. So why are you so offended by the Church of Jesus Christ? Matthew 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea. 2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. John the Baptist had authority to preach the gospel. He was the son of Zebedee, who had the priesthood and authority to baptize. John had the priesthood. We believe that a man must be called of God in order to preach the gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.

Why did Jesus say the least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than John the Baptist. Who is the least? Those that teach not to or do not obey the least of the commandments. Who is the greatest? Those that teach to Obey the commandments and obey the commandments. Jesus said the least of you, the most humble, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. The humble approach is always the way . We came in by grace through faith. He was elected, and we are whosoever believes. God came to Him and we sought out God. All this is true. Yet it is not the answer! John told you the answer when Jesus came to be baptized by Jesus. John said i baptize you with water, but there is One that comes after me but is before me. He will baptize you in fire and the Holy Spirit. The one baptism that truly matters. The purging of faith to be perfected in Jesus. John told Jesus when He came to be baptized, i need to be baptized by you. Those in Jesus have been baptized by Him. Trials and troubles and temptation to doubt with the power of the Holy Spirit shedding abroad that Jesus said it is finished and demonstrating the love of God in truth that is shedding abroad the love of God in our hearts in truth to wait on the Lord. Be joyful when trials come upon you. Why? Romans 5:1-5. James 1 Those who wait on the Lord are truly blessed. Those that trust in the Lord when all is coming against you. Those that wait doing what Jesus says. Peter said do not think it is a strange thing when a fiery trial come upon you and you suffer for righteousness sake. What is the result of romans. 5 fiery trials? The love of God is shed abroad in your heart. What about when deep temptations come upon you and you overcome in James 1? He that endure the temptation shall receive the crown of life. And in Peter. 1 Peter 4:12-19 King James Version (KJV) 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. What is the result? All those that come to Jesus are chastised and purged in faith. He chastises all, if not, you are not His. What is the result? It reflects what is said in Hebrews 12. To come into rest in and peace in believing. 1 Peter 5:10 “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you

HI LOL Jesus/Yeshua was not a Methodist! He changed the water into wine at the marriage at Cana. Also it was a wine growing society. He said ' I am the vine and you are the branches' and ' I will not drink of the fruit of the vine til I drink it afresh in the Kingdom of God'. He wasn't talking about grapejuice! Shalom to you in Christ Yeshua.

Dear Lionel that u were here on this page at all tells me you must be a child of the High and being led. I don’t know why but I felt a strong urging to reassure you of the eternal light you actually are. The truth has been hid from us of our background. We’re the children of light. I do care so much for you and I hope you are less angry and bitter. Unchurched is the only path to find your royal identity. Research for the truth and find it dear friend. There’s so little time because they are censoring all these sites that have the hidden books. Anyhow. I’m trying so hard and this world is almost unbearable but I’ve been turning towards my Father and I’m finding it. It took some humility because I’m educated and it all seemed ignorant but when you look past the doctrine and find the hidden truth you’re gonna start to witness the magic! Really. My kids and I just call it magic or something. Lol. Well I have to go. Btw. I love bowling. Maybe that’s what caught my eye Because I really don’t have time to be messaging folks and have only sent maybe five messages in the last 10 years on KZbin so must be something special here anyhow good luck to you Lionel stay strong my friend🌈

John the Baptist got his head cut off--NOT for "standing against the wickedness of the government"as this politician claims.If you are married to someone else while your 1st spouse is still alive you are commiting adultery.Herodious had remarried while her husband was alive.Doesn't matter if she was a govt official,married to one or not.God is no respecter of persons.Herod was an adulterer as well for it is written"Who ever marrieth her that is put away committeth adultery".Want to not enter the kingdom of God?Thats a good way to do it.Half the church members where this silver tongue blame shifter is teaching are probably living in an adulterous marriage like Herod and Herodious.Maybe he should warn them!!??Instead of shifting blame to gov"t.If we would turn to God in the churches--God would give us good leaders.Our fore fathers would have recognized this speaker as a clever word manipulator-this adulterous generation has no decernment.Jesus is not the freind of adulterers that won't repent[james 4;4] or silver tongued preachers telling people the things they want to hear.

Was this pastor always a Christian? If he was he should try reading the bible before he attempts to deceive people, Leviticus 19:28, which says, "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.” Oops look at his arms ! If he claims he was an atheist when he got them this means that he believes he was just "fizz" and "stardust" prior to converting, and if this is the case how can stardust or fizz know with certainty that christianity is the correct path to take ?? Surely fizz is incapable of knowing the truth, therefore he chose to follow christianity through an uneducated approach.. Which will it be bearded man ?
@fayelewis5476
@fayelewis5476 6 жыл бұрын
He was not always a Christian. Moses murdered two men. David murdered one and committed adultery. Saul went around rounding up Christians thinking he was helping God out. As it turns out Jeff isn't stardust or chemicals in motion. Everyone is born dead in their sins. Only God can bring life. A true miracle.

Faye Lewis Again, this guy has dug himself a hole by saying without god atheists are just stardust and can't make educated moral decisions, therefore he was stardust when he made a choice to follow christianity, a choice he himself asserts is without justification either moral or rational !! Hence there is no grounding for his position at the moment..
@fayelewis5476
@fayelewis5476 6 жыл бұрын
Neil deGrasse Tyson said we are literally stardust. Atheism has no basis for calling anything evil, or for their conscience or ability to reason and think and use logic. God saves us in spite of our foolish thinking. We are all born dead in our sins. It is truly a miracle of God that anyone goes to heaven.
@sr241265
@sr241265 6 жыл бұрын
Faye Lewis Ok so this guy was an atheist, and he chose christianity, not because it was good or evil because you state atheism can't decipher what's evil, ! So those atheists that convert to Islam or christianity are not doing so with a clear mind that can determine what is right and wrong !! Therefore this pastor, simply flipped a coin when he was an atheist and chose his path that way all be it without knowing good from bad as he was just stardust ! You still have a massive problem,
@fayelewis5476
@fayelewis5476 6 жыл бұрын
No, this pastor was saved by grace through faith alone. He was dead in his sins. A child of wrath. Without hope in the world. An enemy of Christ. Following Satan. Ephesians 2:1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. God chose this man. Jeff found out real quick that he was much more than stardust. You were made in the image of God with infinite worth and purpose. You are a soul. Your soul is eternal. You will spend eternity in heaven or hell. You have an appointment with death and an appointment with God. It doesn't matter what you believe. Where will you spend eternity?
