I prayed to God asking him to take the cigarette addiction away from me. I prayed that I wouldn’t want and crave cigarettes. I was answered and just quit after 46 years of smoking. I am so happy that Jesus healed me and heard my prayer, glory to My God in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Amen

Jeff's message is hitting hard, when I needed being hit the hardest. Thank you for confirming my hearts truest desires & the need to hate what I do because of how it saddens our Holy Father. Literally fell to my knees yesterday, face down to the ground, sobbing cause of how as a professed Christian have broken my Holy Father's heart, time and time again with my idol/sin. Finally! After trying to suppress it & also identifying myself as an "addict" I released it to the Lord, truly repented once & for all & asked for a renewed heart in Christ Jesus & a new identity in Christ & Christ alone!

How does making money play into life as a Christian? Should I live off the land? Should I work a government job I don’t enjoy? Should I make something and sell it online? Should I build a personal brand? Should I be a beggar in the city? Should I trust God and leave the comforts and security of my mother’s home and walk away not sure of where I’m going? Do I make plans? Do I seek to earn money? Or do I move to an island and wing it. I’m so lost. I wish the world were different. I wish in growing up I’d been taught of how to make it within the monetary system instead of being told lies my entire life and finding out in such a traumatic and confusing way.

Should we go by the creators calendar for the Sabbath to worship.
@dannyboyz70617 жыл бұрын
Jesus Christ is Lord. The Creator's Calendar has identified Himself in Christ as our Sabbath. Matthew 12:1-14. We are called to worship 24/7, in Spirit and in Truth. Worship is not merely a scheduled event. It is an ongoing way of life without end. Sometimes that means we get together and worship in song, or a variety of other ways, sure. There is no command to do so on any one day.
@dannyboyz70617 жыл бұрын
I don't hate you. I just realize you are mislead into a practice that isn't commanded, if you say it's commanded. You are free to worship in that way every Saturday, if you choose. If that is profitable for you, to the glory of God. The problem is when people say this is commanded, for all Christians. Then, yes, I will hate that false teaching and I will give it's rightful place scorn.
@dannyboyz70617 жыл бұрын
I don't skip it. It is very specifically fulfilled in Christ, and I keep it as intended through faith. Christ died for the sins of murder, theft, adultery, idolatry. Christ did not die for the sin of not keeping the Sabbath. He died to give us Sabbath, finally. The charges against the disciples are very legit in Matthew 12:1-14, yet Jesus said their behavior was justified. According to you, it would not be justified. How do you explain Jesus' behavior in Matthew 12:1-14 with how He allowed what was forbidden on the Sabbath according to the written "code"?
@dang52037 жыл бұрын
Dannyboyz ? But within the 10 commandments, the 4th commandment, (3rd in the catholic catechism because they did away with the 2nd) specifically says the 7th day, not the 1st day. So why the change? T. Enright, C.S.S.R., in a lecture at Hartford, Kansas, Feb. 18,1884. "I have repeatedly offered $1,000 to anyone who can prove to me from the Bible alone that I am bound to keep Sunday holy. There is no such law in the Bible. It is a law of the holy Catholic Church alone. The Bible says, 'Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.' The Catholic Church says: 'No. By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day and command you to keep holy the first day of the week.' And lo! The entire civilized world bows down in a reverent obedience to the command of the holy Catholic Church." James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of our Fathers, 88th ed., pp. 89. "But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify." Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism 3rd ed., p. 174. "Question: Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept? "Answer: Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her-she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority." So the anti-Christ beast system, that all the Protestant reformers agreed was in fact anti-Christ (in the place of Christ) clearly states that by their authority, the papacy has changed God's law, and us heretics and fallen away "daughter" church systems have continued to obey the "mother" church, despite what scripture commands. That being said, we really can't keep any of the law perfectly, as our self righteousness is filthy rags. But through Christ and with Christ, we can read the 10 commandments as promises, that He will fulfill through us as we surrender "self" to Him. God bless you as you ponder these things. www.biblesabbath.org/confessions.html

But no Christian group should ever teach such a thing. As you stated, those who are born again have a new identity. "... such WERE some of you... but NOW"! Honestly, how does telling someone, "You will never *not* be an addict" help them? Doesn't that just make you hopeless, like there's no point in trying to get off this poison, because you'll always be an addict no matter how hard you try? That's not motivating. You are correct. But faith is an action word, just as love is. You cannot say you love your wife but you keep coming home drunk and beating her every night. Your works, must back up your words. In the same way, a person saying he believes in God but has no evidence for it merely puts that person on the same level as devils, who also believe in God, but are not Christians, not do they obey God. In fact, they believe in God so much more than most empty professors that they tremble.

And if God doesn’t and won’t and I’m left to my own will power????? I hate my sins and yet I cannot quit 😩. Which leads me to question my salvation 😵

Start small. Simply wake up and thank Him for a new beginning. Keep walking towards Him and He will reveal Himself to you. You got this.

I was wondering why theonamists all grow beards? Does anybody here know the reason or purpose? Thanks.

buffalo1d There's no reason. Other than we like them. :) Seriously though. There isn't a theological reason. None.

I want to make a tithe to the church. Do you take credit card through the internet in any way? Website, etc. I say tithe, not donation because I'm now sharing my place of worship with 3 churches.

God said not to eat those foods because they are bad for your health. Yes ,Jesus says it’s not what you put in your mouth. But, what comes out of your mouth that’s unclean. However , God’s Word is life’s manual on how we should live. I still wouldn’t eat bacon. I’m not a Jew. I just know how disgusting bacon is for you. Does the Bible say to them to through the goat off a cliff? I’m curious about that. Sounds more like superstitious. Idk I’m just thinking. I gave up my traditional lifestyle. No more Christmas, trees, Easter, any pagan holidays. As well as these false churches. Tired of church hopping. No matter what I do, or try to do it’s not me saving myself. It’s nothing but the blood of Jesus. Praise God.

@billfisher976 жыл бұрын
Maybe your thoughts are distorted. Ever think of that? His opinions are backed by correct biblical scripture so the part that you disagree with is just a difference in opinion. You may have some points, for now we don’t know , where you disagree and are correct but all I can gather from you from this message is that you lack humility, you’re negative, you don’t mind criticizing a teaching pastor which the Bible clearly instructs us as Christians not to do, and that you talk a lot of crap but don’t back it up. So who’s really distorted? My gosh who says that about an intelligent pastor like Jeff behind text. I’d love to see you openly debate him about your opinion. Better yet where’s your KZbin channel so we can scrutinize you smarty criticizer? Huh?

If you believe what you are saying then you might as well throw away the 10 commandments because Eashoa died for our sins...Nonsense! Isaiah 1: Our Father said that there would be no sacrifice for atonements. No sir, God wanted us to obey ... Deuteronomy 14 New International Version Clean and Unclean Food(A) Leviticus 11.

Love you Jeff, but you can do some real damage to the true Alcoholic/Addict here. I can go in forever about why, but if someone who is new to AA listens to something like this, you may be responsible for them falling back in to their addiction or even killing themselves. We identify ourselves as alcoholics because we must remember that one drink can end everything for us. Including being with our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
@ApologiaStudios7 жыл бұрын
Lucy Salinas No. AA is antithetical to the Gospel. It is hopeless. We don't need salvation from "alcoholism". Addiction is a worship problem and not a disease. Further, the term "alcoholism" is a term that was coined rather recently to move away from addiction to alcohol being drunkenness and sin. It was a move to the disease model. It is a hopeless redefinition.
@KletosMinistries7 жыл бұрын
That would once again fall into a heart issue. As an unrepentant heart, one that only has regrets because of how it affects their life and relationships, would always find a way to go back to their addiction.
@billfisher976 жыл бұрын
Lucy Salinas I went to AA for 19 years. Sad part is I might have been ready to receive Jesus when I hit bottom but every knows you go to AA not church right? I liked it because I hated Jesus. I stayed sober and became dependent on meetings and found a group of non Christians to worship a pantheistic spirit of the universe type new age God, which I made up in my head. Steps 1-12 “Just make up a god, start praying to it, act right and we’ll see you tomorrow to remind you and so you won’t be alone in your lack of salvation.” AA places a wedge between people and Christ. It’s a substitute that left me empty and just as lost as I was when I arrived. If someone isn’t ready to receive Jesus then they’re not done living a life of sin. He is our creator and we cannot live without Him. To live in sin and deny Jesus is to die and I was dead in AA for years. Miserably going through the motions feeling alone even though I was always with other “alcoholics”. Really smart ones too. Great hunting ground for predators. Just my two cents. Not a fan. Thank you Jesus for a second spiritual bottom and all the liers and sickos in AA for helping me find it so I could become saved and born again. 🙏😇✝️💥
