This Elite is beautiful. The curves and yet angular as well. What styling, this makes you long for the style, plush interiors and low low price for luxury. Wonder if we will ever return to the personal luxury car?

Looks like someone inherited grandmas car when she passed on. Only a elderly person who bought it new would keep it this clean and original. No one else woulda loved it enough for this. Not like it was a rare car that someone knew would be worth keeping this immaculate.

I use to have a car like that 30 years ago and my sister blew the engine in it and was left in a field to rot I love that car but now I hear that it went to a crap yard not sure if it still there after 5 year that it there

Those 1970's FORD 351cubic inch V8's sometimes used a quart of oil every couple of hundred of miles even though they didn't smoke or leak when they got over 50000 miles on them. I had friends and family members who had this engine and they seemed to perform differently in each vehicle they were in from what I can remember as a young man at the time. If your sister didn't check and add oil every couple of hundred miles she probably seized the engine. Some of these could go 5000 miles between oil changes and not use a drop others could not.

Jay Brown. That is a bargain. I bought a new 1976 Ford Elite and I believe it had approximately $6700.00 on the window sticker. It must have kept out of the sun and weather. I loved that car, wished that I had kept it a many times. Thank you for sharing.

Brian Eastman. I don't know about this one. But, I had a 1976 with 351 CID Windsor 2 barrel carburetor and C6 automatic transmission with limited slip rear end. I think that you could get the 400 CID and also the 460 CID in them.

They were available with the 5.8 liter V8 (351 cu in) or a 6.6 liter V8 (400 cu in) or a 7.5 liter V8 (460 cu in).
