Another great video there, Alex. I always appreciate your honesty by showing us the cartridge ends and. 22 cases! Not desirable finds for anyone, but always good to see you digging such targets, as it gives everyone a chance to see the reality of detecting 👍 Personally, I can't bear those detecting channels where they only ever seem to find gold and silver stuff, then go red in the face and start fist-pumping to the camera, and shouting 'YESSSS! .... I spoke before about being a hammered virgin out with my Essex club usual rubbish for me then took me ages on bending knees found a little Roman silver had to ask what it was lol chap showed me a few things wrong with my pin pointer thanked him and went on my way 10 minutes later thought it was a joke George the 3rd half Guinea once again had to ask put both in one of my gloves now been told when back at the car park it’s a 1700?best day in my life

Please bring a small bottle of water and a small brush with you so you don’t have to rub the abrasive dirt across the coin with your fingers. I am an ancient and medieval coin conservator and never rub any coins in any metal like this. I work at 30x power where abrasions can be seen.

Very good Leonard but I am not a believer I am sorry - years and years of being rolled around it dirt, chemicals - knocked around by animals and their excrement... a small amount of rubbing on a pretty battered coin isn't going to make any difference - not of any importance anyway. I do know where you are coming from but I already carry far too much stuff and equipment to carry brushes and girly spritzers. All the Best, Alexander
