Great reaction you don’t know how spot on you were, as shell oil company did start as a holding company in London back in the 1900’s selling sea shells and eventually expanded into oil.

Shell wasn't a holding company that sold sea shells. They were a transport and trading company that sold kerosene. Two brothers formed the company and their father use to import sea shells. That's where their name originated from. Sorry for sounding pompous but if we are going to give facts then let's do so.

@@andrewshedron425 just to add a bit more depth, before they expanded to selling kerosene, shell oil started as an antiquities shop in London selling shell decorated antiquities but they used to hawk their wares on Brighton beach!

SHELL FROM 1833 TO 1945 1833 - 1892 From seashells to the world of oil In 1833, Marcus Samuel decided to expand his London business. He already sold antiques but decided to try selling oriental seashells as well, capitalising on their popularity in the interior design industry at that time. The demand was so great that he began importing the shells from the Far East, laying the foundations for an import-export business that would ultimately become one of the world’s leading energy companies. When Marcus Samuel senior died in 1870 he passed the business on to his two sons, Marcus junior and Samuel, who began to expand it. In the 1880s they became particularly interested in the oil exporting business but shipping still posed a problem as oil was carried in barrels which could leak and took up a lot of space. To solve the problem, they commissioned a fleet of steamers to carry oil in bulk, including the Murex which, in 1892, became the first oil tanker to pass through the Suez Canal.

Nice reaction guys, Ren lays out clearly how the money game works. One thing I really like is how he doesn't just point the finger and only blame those at the top of the pile but he also acknowledges our role in letting them manipulate us. You know, people queuing like sheep overnight for the latest iPhone/games console/must have gadget etc. I love how the pace builds as he goes through the 10 steps. The live version is also worth a look as it just covers the 10 steps but beautifully sung and filmed on Brighton beach. I was like you and tried to keep up do date with politics (in the UK) but it has just become pointless and depressing so I'd rather watch Ren reactions lol!

Thanks. I know we paused a little bit but we wanted to discuss the things he was saying on our own opinion. Some liked it and some didn't. It was our first time doing it this way as you know LOL. Ren hunts for any methods to unite people, reducing isolation and encouraging empathy and respect. I don't care about political leanings, and have had many bonding discussions with my so called "enemies" that have been facilitated by Ren. I love it, such a supportive and loving community. Also bizarre to find a lot of others with my rare genetic disorder amongst the Ren community, it feels so magical finding them through music discussions. I was told it was impossible for my combination of disorders to coexist, doctors are ashtrays astounded; but I found my diagnosis "sisters" on Ren discord. Synchronicity and happy tears.

Consumerism only works if the population have the money to buy things to consume, now so many don’t have the money to purchase the system is broken. I’m hoping part 3 will delve into the mess the world has got itself into and maybe offer some solutions

A lot of people forget, those in power or in politics are the one they voted for. Either they were believed or deceived, either way, they are now in the rulers and law makers. It's that moment you do that slap to your forehead and realize, what you did to get this far. It's complicated for sure. I also have a thought on part 3.

One word of advice when reviewing videos, don't stop the video every 10 seconds and turn to Barbie and explain what Ren is saying as if she is too dumb to work it out for herself. Barbie worked out the Tale of Jenny and Screech all by herself when plenty of others couldn't. She can hardly get a word in most times.
