This is a version 2, i had the earlier version with ST movement and mineral glass. Unfortunately the hour hand is slightly misaligned. So do take note of possible QC issues.

Completely agree about the watch. They're essentially giving it away. Given it's price the watch is functional and well thought out with the inner rotating working with notches and designed in a way it doesn't move. Interestingly the colour looked kind orange from afar but more like a bronze or gold in the macro shots. The only real trade-off is the non-hacking movement. I would wear the watch as a summery beater watch in situations where it could get wet.

I got the V1 of this watch, without the sapphire crystal, changed the strap for a marine nationale, the strap was more expensive than the watch. I like it, but I would change the date window to only show one date. I wear it occasionally.

It is a hacking movement (got mine in December’22). Just worn it for a full week, and it gained 7 seconds! Fits well, very comfortable. Only thing I don’t like is how thick it is, but when it’s on I really don’t notice. Face always cheers me up. Day lines up perfectly (and is English/English unlike prev versions). So looks like they listened to feedback and acted upon it. Highly recommend this watch. I paid £65 and am very happy with it.

Just had one arrive after picking it up in the sale for £61.00! Can’t really fault it. All controls work well, it all lines up nicely and the strap is smooth soft and comfortable. Will definitely look at this brand again.

I received one of these a couple weeks ago, Ilove it! The spec, finish, and price are just incredible. Even the *lume* is nice and works all night. And the bracelet is comfy, what's not to like? Oh actually, my watch *DOES HACK* seconds stops if I pull the crown out.

Carried on running for 36 hours after being put on the side - keeping good time until it finally ran out of puff. Had only worn it for two days, so the 'power back-up' levels in the auto movement are great. I really think this is a good watch - and not at all shonky as some commenters are saying.

Just getting mine today. Can't wait. Update: I got it and love it but the cheap band got tangled when I was pulling my coat off, came apart and the watch dropped onto a stone floor and dented the steel case, no broken crystals though. I still love it though it is getting beat up - easily dents but am replacing the band with a nylon one. Update Nov 2023: case getting beat up as it really sticks out and I just hit it often on stuff. Wish they had beveled top of the case. But I love this watch and just love wearing it. New strap really helps and it doesn't fall off my arm now.

I bought the black dial version about 9 months ago mine maybe V2 as says FIRST TIME on dial & does hack sapphire crystal on both...not a fan of the day date layout doesnt exactly line up but hey cost me £50 gbp at the time of a sale took 10 days arrive n for the money its fantastic compressor styled piece..great review Gary...

Looks good to me, as to the Miyota movement I hgave no problem with it as they are robust reliable and good timekeepers. As to hacking not really bothered, overall it is a good movement.

I bought this watch ( the yellow dial version, or is it orange?) about 2 months ago, and love it. I don't however, love the strap so I got rid of that and put it on an Italian stitched leather one (with off-white stitching) and it looks superb. I get tons of remarks about it's looks (all positive, and my friends don't care about watches). I'm actually going to buy another one in the black face, in this round of sales. Maybe try it on a nice stainless strap this time round.

Makes complete sense. You don´t want it to be too sensitive at 60 since it goes only one way, while not too bothersome to set at 120.

Another smashing review Gary. I like this watch overall the quality is there. When you think the Oris Aquis only has mineral glass on the case back. If they did a pale blue metallic waffle dial that would go well. I am tempted to go to Aliexpress and have 'A weekend at Bernys'. (Sorry couldn't help myself with that last bit)😁

I really like the look of this watch as I prefer a simple design over ornate. Waiting for mine to arrive soon. I ordered with the bracelet instead of silicone. I will probably swap it out for a NATO strap anyway. This may end up as my new 'daily'.

I think if they added some more dial colours as options for this watch, especially the now popular pastel colours (sky blue, light pink, mint green etc) , it will sell out very quickly.

I love mine. It's a great deal for a unique desk-diver. I would prefer the crown for the inner bezel to be a screw-down like the movement's crown is, but I can't complain for the money. Also, the orientation of the inner-bezel's numbers look great at the 12 o'clock position, but can be very confusing when using it beyond 30 minutes. Very minor issues for such an affordable watch, especially considering the bezel's crown thing automatically rules it out from actual diving situations. You would never find yourself dealing with a touch of the nitrogen narcosis while trying to interpret dive time.

Pretty much agree. Specd very well for the price and looks super functional but I'm no diver and could not see me actually wearing this on the street so why would I get this? I want to want it but just don't. It seems to wear to thick.

Gary, would you please start measuring the actual visible dial size. I have done so for many of my watches and small bezel watches, like this Berny, can have really large dial sizes. I have a 42 mm Seiko that has a 33 mm dial while a Rolex Sky Dweller at 42 mm only has a 29.5 mm dial.

I really like the looks especially the color of the dial and the internal bezel it's too bad it's under 44mm. The strap looks like crap IMO but it's cheap enough to get a replacement that would improve the look 100%.

The dial makes the watch look big. I thought it was at least 44mm! I like the dial layout but not the 12 & 6. I would like to see how it looks on other straps because the one it comes on doesn't fit the look. 🤔

About sapphire crystals in more and more chinese watches, they could afford to it because simply speaking it lower quality ones that are not acceptable in other appliances. I have compared two sapphire crystals in polarised monitor light, chinese was like oil on wet road or if you want it looks fussy but on the Seiko Superior it looks very clear, of course if you want you could find unevenness but it is not so pronounced as in chinese. Nevertheless even worse quality sapphire will be always better than Superior quality glass.

Oh no! Miyota, what a shame it didn't have the NH35A, would be a worth paying a little extra for that. It's does have an interesting look, I looked at these awhile back when I was looking at compressor style watches (went with Rdunae's excellent R3 Seahorse) but I was very tempted by this but alas couldn't get past the Miyota movement.

A watch to wear every day? Not being this tall on the wrist because it'll be constantly bashed on stuff around the home and at work. It needs to be slimmer. A stainless steel burger on the wrist is just impractical. You say the winder crown is screw down but not the bezel crown? If so, I would greatly challenge the waterproofing at 200m. It's just not going to happen.
