The Lexington is a great home for a person who needs to use a walker, but wants a larger home than an I-Box for visitors. Lots of room in the bathroom, to navigate everything with a walker or wheelchair. I'd use a combo W/D and have a closet rod above, and a bed with drawers below.

I am trying to convince my town to make several like you just described for our wounded warriors and normal ones for single Mom's and some bigger one for small families. They can then get the benefits owed them because they will have an address.

Love the Lexington with a staircase in the back. I also use a walker I'd rather have a handrail on the staircase. The farmhouse sink is great! Everytime I decide on one of your tiny homes you show one I like better. But, the Lexington so far my favorite. Corky Reynolds

If you have a bed and your storage drawers, it has to be in place of a sofa, and assuming if a cane , walker or wheelchair is used, the stairs aren't needed.If hey are gine, you would have even more room for the way you described it. Sounds like a plan, but he has said no more customs because they, are very behind. He wants to be able to build faster so customers don't have to wait longer than expected. ......I think the 8ft wide WOODY has a small BR down stairs at the back. Plus, the WOODYs were lower in price.

Now that I am alone and so much older I would love to live in a Tiny Home Community. I know I could do it monthly very easily. I live in Indiana and getting started is what I am researching. I would like a community where I could easily fit in and could enjoy the last chapter in my blessed life! Randy and Amanda are so down to earth and I feel they are trying to make lives better for those of us who will accept it!
@brendaelk69 Жыл бұрын
My only problem is the money to make the deposit to get it started. I can meet the monthly bills easily, it is that I have no savings (like a lot of us) and it looks like $8000 is what it needs to start the ball rolling!

I ended up moving 4 hours rurally away from the city, away from a million dollar home i inherited from my very caring nonviolent peaceful atheist parents, because after they died my older brother that is a bone breakingly violent karate narcissistic aberhamic authoritian literally took over and made it so difficult for me to possibly stay. He ended up with the nice place, while i was cheaped out on a very low reduced type of offer for my half, so i live in a run down rural fixer upper now, and have a painful parkinsons/ms type of neuromuscular challenge on a very low disability pension. I realize i am easily considered to be merely a form of acceptable collateral damage to some people who'd either disingenuously give me the time of day, or entirely shun me completely with 2000 year old traditionalized racism in tow. Interesting species, and we all gotta share the planet, even if some say homelessness frostbite and arson makes the victims go to a better place. Please be safe eh, if and when allowed.

Love the Lexington! Could put a washer dryer combo unit in the bathroom and have closet space above it. Also, if the kitchen sink and window moved to the left a bit, could have a cabinet on the end with a pull out butcher block for added work space or could even set a stool there to eat. And the idea of upper cabinets in the kitchen is awesome. Your tiny homes just keep getting better!!

You know what it was actually good to see how much room was in front of the toilet in case someone was sick. I was on chemo for a year. Having a bathroom that size is very valuable. It's nice to be able to get around easy when you're not feeling well. However I would make the sink bigger for being able to wash the face, you know for after your sick 🙂

Can’t you put the hot water heater in the dead space in the corner cabinet of the kitchen. Then you could open the area below the stairs
@freedomdove Жыл бұрын
That Lexington model is really nice. I feel like there is wasted space under the stairs, though. It would be nice if you could put the stair treads on piano hinges so you can use the space underneath for storage. Every inch matters in these tiny homes. Lol. 19:09 mark: OR....maybe you could cut a large hole in the wall above the water heater and put access doors of some kind there. Then the space under the top stairs would serve as a linen closet of sorts in the bathroom. They would be deep storage areas, and not very big per block, but it would be better than nothing. People would be able to figure out a way to store things in the cubbies. Maybe custom wood boxes can be made available as an accessory? They can just bring out a box instead of trying to reach stuff way in the back by pulling out everything in the front. I used scrap wood from my rig build to make long skinny boxes that fit on two of my shelves. I used leftover nylon strap material as handles, but any thin flexible material can be used. I utilized leather strapping for pulls on my drawers. You can still use piano hinges on the lower stairs since that area wouldn't be exposed when you cut a hole above the water heater. I actually think the first idea would yield more actual usable storage space (all stairs being on hinges) with less cost (unless you do happen to have a lot of scrap wood sitting around). The ideas are limitless. Ace sure loves burlap. Lol. 😁
