Thanks! It was me who actually built this wee camper. Not this wee chancer. Only thing he built in the van was the skateboard table and heater. I sold it too him like that for £2000 in northeast Scotland about 6 years ago and he drove to France in it.

i am currently camper converting the same van as this. heh hope to not be cold however, 50mm XPS insulation on the roof and walls. 25mm selotex on the floor, and a 2kw (or 8kw unsure yet) diesel heater. i am going 48v electrical system full solar setup with UPS 2.7KW inverter. ill be building my own 48v compressor fridge freezer, and even have a combi microwave oven (wattage dependent) well see how it goes, just finished getting the flooring down and auto carpeting done. gonna be fun. looking forward to the electrics part the most.

One problem with the van, it is front wheel drive, bit of mud or a 100mm drop off from solid road it no mud if it doesn't bottom out, your stuffed let alone snow. Comfy conversion though whilst waiting for the recovery to come.

Aye. I was the surfer who built this camper. But apparently I just "had and bed in the back and stuff" then Declan says "I put in most of the tounge and groove in it" and "I couldn't tell you how much I spent on wood. But got alot of the tounge in groove from shit just laying around" I can tell you exactly how much Declan spent of wood!... £0. Not a penny! He made a skateboard table! Then proceeds to tell you all about the kitchen/storage unit like he built it himself. I made that whole unit! It's still the same cooker and fridge! He added spice clips! Then tells you about the over cab storage like built that too. He says "where else would I put it" also takes credit fot for the double bed pull out I made. "it wasn't really on my list of priorities to do, but just thought for the days laying about" then pulls out bed I made. All my surfboards used to fit underneath the bench seat. Declan is full of shite man! He added a heater and skateboard table to the build. Rest is just stickers and a banana hammock!! I have photos of the camper when I finished it about 6 years ago.

I watch lots of these video's,some to get ideas as I am doing this again next year, and some for a laugh to see how much money people waist and stupid ideas, I saw your and thought this will be a laugh, snot nosed kid,no experience living on the road, after 35 years trucking living in a cab its easy to think you know it all. but I as wrong there are a few things you could do differently and I am sure you would if you do it again, but really you have done really well you have made a comfortable homely van that does what you need and says something about your personality and kept the cost down.well done very good.
