I had to go coat myself in deet just to watch this one! 😂 I am glad y’all had a good time despite the flooding. There definitely still seemed to be plenty to see and do in that state park! It was pretty cool to see so many critters, but I know a bunch were probably just trying to find a place to be after the hurricane. That inflatable couch looked like a fun comfort item. Would y’all take it along again? I admire your decision to go do things without your husband. I appreciate your whole family’s sacrifice in order for him to serve and protect your community. It’s not an easy job for the officer or their family. Thank you for another great adventure and I hope those ant bites didn’t keep you up at night scratching your feet!!

Thank you so much. I appreciate your kindness and support. It’s been an honor to be married to him. Yes, we’ll definitely take the inflatable couch again! It was so comfortable. $30 from Walmart and worth it. I can see putting it on the outside of the tent on the mat, too. We had a great time despite the flooding. Even though it prevented us from hiking or seeing the canopy walk, it was cool to see. I can imagine what it was like a few weeks ago when the roads were flooded and you couldn’t even drive through there! 💙☀️🙏🏼

Enjoyed your camping adventure. I do a lot of car camping here in Virginia. My daughter loves the nighttime camp fires with marshmallows, and we cook kielbasa on roasting sticks over the fire. Very yummy. A tip I learned is that when I start my fire in the fire ring, I put some of the fast lighting coals I use in a grill on the bottom. Burns hot and fast, and I add the wood to the top of the coals. Stay safe and have fun.

Good morning, Ladies of the Bear family. Thanks for taking us along with you on your summer camping trip. I've found since I've gotten older - the heat and I don't get along, but since I was lying in my bed in AC with a kittie curled up next to me, I was fine. Wow, it was quite flooded. I can do snakes but am terrified of gators. Mama Bear, when you were walking down that trail, I was amazed at the beauty of the tree canopy next to the intense blue of the sky with the floating white clouds. So pretty. Really appreciate your family's willingness to share their adventures with us. Ya'll take care. Stay safe. See you for the next adventure. Hi to Ellie and Alice. Any chance for an updated pic or video on them, especially Alice. Kittens change so much so quickly. Bye for now.

Hi there! Thanks for coming along with us! We’re so happy to share with you. The heat is definitely difficult, especially because it doesn’t even cool off into the evening or over night to provide any relief. I’ve noticed that I’ve become a bit more intolerable as I’ve aged as well. I love the tree canopy, too. It’s beautiful and peaceful! Thank you for asking about Alice and Ellie. I’ll post a few pics on the community page. 🐾💗 Love and light to you! 💙☀️🙏🏼

I love watching your family adventure trips! 😊 Sounds like it was a fun time in spite of the heat and flooding. Yes, probably fall/Florida winters would be much more comfortable. Lol Florida deer! In NJ, we have a lot of deer even in residential areas. Oh my goodness..the alligators! Ahh..that is scary! The two that you zoomed in on seemed like they were looking at you guys. The baby one crossing the street was cute though. I remember doing an Everglades boat tour and I remember it being so hot! I think it was in July. We did see alligators and I remember the boat guide telling us the history of how alligators came to be in Florida. She said that people would get them as pets not realizing how big they would grow and then would abandon them near the water so they multiplied. Looking forward to watching more of your adventures! God bless you and your family and have a great weekend! 😊

The first few minutes of gator jokes were hilarious..navi-gator! 😂 Debbie displaced a lot of wildlife, right down to the fire ants! Bummer the trails were still flooded out. I think your fear of gators is completely rational, MB. They gots way too many teeth for my liking. Good advice over your morning coffee...be brave, don't wait, and get out there. 😊 You will find beauty if you seek it. I don't blame y'all for a thumbs down on summer camping, wayyy too hot down there. Take care ladies, Brian, Logan, and the 4 leggeds too. ✌️

Lots of laughter in our family always. 😂 My fear seems rational when I’m surrounded by gators, but then when I’m safe and away from them, I remember that they really don’t want much to do with me. 😂 I’m trying to combat my fears so I can do more of the Florida trail. Hey Wildflowers, another great video! The park was absolutely beautiful!Thank you as always for allowing us along. Do you think the flooding had blurred the boundaries for the alligators ? It just seemed like there were so many . I don’t think that your fear, being up a bit ,was in any way unsubstantiated. I would have felt the same, especially with my children with me…lol.. whether in the car or not. Great advice that you gave, in getting out with family on your own at times. I also agree that you have been an inspiration to just get out and enjoy nature. Thank you again sweet Mom… it’s always a blessing for me, seeing your family. Be safe out there. Hey there! It really is a beautiful park! I think we’ll visit again. I’m not sure if the flooding blurred the boundaries. Look at it this way, you can paddle the trails instead of walking them 😂 It's funny that the gators were everywhere during the day and then vanished at sunset. I wonder where they went. Maybe it was best that you didn't see them in the dark though. I sometimes go out on the trails with night vision and it can be eerie to see all the eyes in the forest, even when I know they belong to critters that are no threat.
@wildflowersadventures3 ай бұрын
Hahaha, yes, very true. Although I was too chicken to put a kayak in those dark waters. I was shocked not to see a single gator at night. That’s when they’re most active usually, so I was sure we’d see some. Very strange, but yes, maybe better we didn’t. It probably would’ve made for a tougher night to sleep! 😂 Darn, NVG’s would be a great idea!! Especially at this place. Next time, I’ll try to remember. Thanks for the idea! 💙☀️🙏🏼

@@wildflowersadventures Well, PVS tubes still cost as much as a nice used car. What I have is a 1st-gen night vision scope with a built-in digital camera and IR light that I picked up from Cabelas for around $150. The image is grainy and I don't think I would buy it again, but it's fun to see wildlife outdoors at night. The first time I took it out, our cat followed me. We got a little way into the woods and I turned on the scope and saw a fox just sitting in the middle of the trail, staring at us. Maybe it could see the IR light, I don't know. My cat definitely saw the fox though because he was sitting in between my feet ;)

You can’t tell us he has no time for family. If he doesn’t it’s because he chooses not to. I work nights, I’m on call , have a rotating schedule and I work about 24 hours Overtime a pay period. I still MAKE time to do things with the family and take my vacations. I just don’t buy it that he has no time. He works full time just like the rest of us. So let’s just call it what it is. He puts his job forst about his family. Kids grow quick and before you know it they’re gone. What a big mistake he’s making

I’m going to do my best to be kind and respectful in my response to you. I’ll start off with saying that you’re absolutely right: I never said my husband doesn’t have time for his family. Curious how you heard that…. For the rest of your statement, please go back and re-listen to what I actually said. Then you may realize that you literally couldn’t be farther from the truth. I apologize if I came across in the completely incorrect way that you describe it above. Hopefully I’m able to clarify myself now. My husband has sacrificed so much for our family and he has never once put anything above us. He is involved with our children on a daily basis and is an amazing father and husband. To further explain, just to be crystal clear: I don’t know what you do for a living, but there are many careers, such as law enforcement, the fire service, military, and many others that require a schedule that isn’t as flexible as others. For example, if he gets a SWAT or K-9 call out, it’s HIS JOB to respond, regardless of what we may have planned. When we have a hurricane, he has to report to work whether it’s during the hurricane or not, often for 12+ hours at a time. And yes, he works forced overtime every single week and also works midnight shift. Many days he sleeps only a few hours so that he can wake up and be there for us…to have a meal with us, help the kids with homework, teach us Jiu Jitsu (he’s a BJJ black belt), guide us in our lifting workouts, go to the kids wrestling, BJJ matches, gymnastics, ballet, etc., help me with chores, mows the lawn, upkeep of our home and cars, you get the point hopefully. It’s a lifestyle I understand and my children and I proudly support him. Thank God there are people like him that will run towards danger to help others, even when it’s inconvenient for our family.
