You have made a fantastic model railway layout that looks amazingly realistic. Great job.

Excellent scenery and trackside details! It really looks like a busy railroad that sees a lot of activity!
@yeovilcentralmainline2307Ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes, it can get busy although the maximum number of passenger and freight trains in operation is usually around 5-7.

Convincing layout with good use of sound effects! I think the station could do with a few more passengers to keep Dr Beeching away! The signal box would benefit from illumination. Good layout and carefully filmed video. Thanks for uploading.

The bridge is a great way to hide a tight radius curve from view and makes the layout more like the real thing. Nice work here.
@yeovilcentralmainline2307Ай бұрын
Thanks. Also, just don't have straight sections of track, introduce gentle curves to add visual interest.

Western Region German Style carriage boards, all gone by 1974 and replaced by door window paper versions. There are several versions, Waterloo-Salisbury-Exeter, and reverse. Paddington-Exeter-Plymouth and reverse.

Hi, The new link line looks really useful. I love it when layouts evolve like this, instead of junking it all and rebuilding it............Evolution like that is real life isn't it. So out of curiosity is there a special reason for the link line, some timetable requirement or did you just want to add a new link because it would be a useful addition.................Great stuff, all the best and happy modelling, Dave.
@yeovilcentralmainline2307Ай бұрын
Thanks Dave, there was always a need for a connection just took a long time to get around to doing it! Doing this allows for additional trains to be held on the avoiding line as well as further operational variety. Mike.

@yeovilcentralmainline2307 yeah, that link line is going to be useful.

That TC unit could do with a headcode !!!
@yeovilcentralmainline2307Ай бұрын
I generally keep one end blank for when the unit is trailing, just so happens to have been this end in the video. Ah well, you win some….

Just came across your layout and find it so realistic 👍🏻 The shots of the 33/1 and 4TC are superb, and the sound of the loco is possibly the best I have heard, which leads me to ask…is this a recording of the real loco or a sound file on a decoder? If the latter please can you let me know who’s it is as I have few 33/1s waiting to have sound installed! Subscribed as looking forward to future developments 🙂
@yeovilcentralmainline2307Ай бұрын
All the sound is dubbed in post-production but I will get around to installing sound decoders into a few cromptons and hydraulics next year. The best sound I came across for the Class 33s was from Jamie Goodman, supplied from 'Road and Rails', check out their selection on KZbin.
@CromptonmanАй бұрын
Thanks! No wonder that 33/1 sounds so good 😂 I have tried a couple of sound files…one from Youchoos and the other from legomanbiffo. I’m tempted to try Jamie’s, but so far I haven’t found the perfect solution.
@yeovilcentralmainline2307Ай бұрын
Yes, I know what you mean, the Class 33 Sulzer has a certain sound (especially on tick over) that can be missing from the sound files, really depends where they are recording the sound from to make the sound files.

It’s ironic that had they kept Yeovil Town station as a terminus during the Beeching cuts these scenes would have been quite true and would probably have saved the degeneration of Yeovil town centre as Pen mill and Yeovil Junction are some way away from the centre of Yeovil.

That was the trouble with Victorian railway building mania, there was no strategic grand plan, just build and get there first!
