@@alienxjFor people living in a country where "sub-cultures" are not that strong or do not have official recognition (France, Germany, Portugal, Japan...etc.) speaking more than 2 languages is pretty impressive (even though she is speaking, I would say the same group of language; it is not like she is jumping from English to Russian to Chinese to Spanish)

I remember my niece didnt want to finish her ice cream. Her mom said, you know i work so hard just so I could afford to buy you ice cream. I had to go away (overseas) just so i have enough money. When children simply stop eating a dessert because they are full now, it looks like a magic trick to me. Most of us are born with great ability to intuitively eat the right amount and many of us lose it along the way :( It's sad to see people actively trying to override this ability in their children with a compulsion to finish the plate.

@@nekorice35 my niece got two scoops and her mum told her to buy only what she can finish. I think the point was not to waste food. In the PH, a lot of people are not able to buy basic amenities so wasting food is frowned upon. We even have a saying than 1 grain of rice is equivalent to a farmer's drop of sweat.
