Most of us are born with great ability to intuitively eat the right amount and many of us lose it along the way :( It's sad to see people actively trying to override this ability in their children with a compulsion to finish the plate.

In the PH, a lot of people are not able to buy basic amenities so wasting food is frowned upon. We even have a saying than 1 grain of rice is equivalent to a farmer's drop of sweat.
