Honestly, the BEST VIDEO I've seen on this! Now I think I can get it to work. If I'm successful, I'll share this on my steemit page and give you the credit for my success! Thanks so much!

I have a couple quail eggs and two quail eggs I’m incubating seem green. And others are dark where I can’t see the inside why ?

Do you do anything with the 3 second hold humidity temp.. or does in not do much

Hi, please help. Thank you for your video. Very informative! I am hatching 30 quail with a Janoel 12 incubator and raised my humidity number from 30 to 60 during lockdown. Does that number mean 60%? We had one chick die on day 2, should I get it out or leave it until day 3?
@azgardengal43415 жыл бұрын
mungbean74 there is no humidity number on mine, only a temperature gauge.. you have to get a stand-alone hydrometer if you want to measure humidity exactly. You said your chick died on day 2, is that after hatching? They should not stay in the incubator for more than 12 hours then they should be transferred to a brooder with food and water.. unfortunately it’s pretty normal to have a few not make it to adulthood.. if the rest look healthy I wouldn’t worry.

Once they are born , I wait about 12 hours and remove the chickens that already be born ? Or do I leave them there for 2 days till everyone else hatches ? Also will I need a separate thermometer for humidity or no need with this incubator ? And it’s for chickens .
@azgardengal43415 жыл бұрын
Josuel Bnz I have not done as much study on chickens, I know they can stay in there a lot longer than the quail because they have more body fat reserves. It isn’t a good idea to open the incubator until you are sure that they have all hatched, but not to leave them in there too long. You may want to get yourself a hydrometer, I have never used one but this unit does not come with one built-in, the thermostat has been regulated though, so you shouldn’t need a separate thermometer.

I heard if I take eggs 🥚 in two water then they can’t breath through the eggshell and then they die
@azgardengal43414 жыл бұрын
gacha cookie YT girl :3 I’m not sure I understand your comment, but you don’t leave them in the water, you just float them in a the water for a few seconds to make sure they are still good. Eggs that are too dry will float and those are the ones you don’t want to incubate.

Will you clarify what you meant by every 2 days? So if I put 100 ml of water in on Monday I refill it Wednesday or Thursday
@azgardengal43415 жыл бұрын
How often you refill really depends on your climate. I'm in AZ and it's super dry, I may have to refill more often than someone who lives where the humidity is high. The most important thing is to really monitor the water levels. I'd recommend just checking it daily and topping it off when it's maybe half gone. You never want it to run dry or your babies will have trouble hatching.

I live in the USA I bought a janoel and a dozen quail eggs can I still use Celcius in the USA?
@azgardengal43415 жыл бұрын
Yes :) I am in the USA as well. You will have to use Celsius, as that's the only unit of measure the machine was built with. There is no Fahrenheit option.
@GetFitEatRight4 жыл бұрын
I can't tell if you are trolling. Yes you can use Celsius. Just make sure you set it correctly. Imperial or metric units are both commonly used.

Hi at what humidity do u start your egg till the 18rh day and raise after the 18rh day
@azgardengal43414 жыл бұрын
Louie Bejines I actually don’t measure the humidity, just the amount of water. Some people do but I don’t have a humidity gauge so I just kind of wing it. Start with maybe a half inch of water in the bottom and then just before hatching increase it to about an inch?

Hi when, how much and how often do I need to put inside the incubator please? Thank you
@azgardengal43414 жыл бұрын
Cooking Travels, Hobbies and Lifestyles. Water? You need to monitor water levels daily. Don’t let it dry out. Keep between 1/4 and 3/4 inch of water at the bottom at all times.
@rachelshoward45264 жыл бұрын
So just keep the water line below the bottom tray and it should be fine? Because 3/4 inch is the tray

Will 6 turkey eggs fit in this
@azgardengal43413 жыл бұрын
Adrian Hillin hmm.. probably not. I’ve never tried but it’s pretty small. I think 6 chicken eggs would be a about it. Maybe 4 turkey eggs?

@azgardengal43413 жыл бұрын
beck Jolliffe It might depend on your climate. I’m in Arizona and it’s very dry. Always a good idea to get a separate hydrometer because the unit doesn’t have one. I would go with whatever your hydrometer says if you have one.
