Years later, I still get hung up on the line; "Love's like a coiling vine, it breaks through the cracks in my wall. The fruits of it we distilled, until you stepped over the line." There's an IMPLIED rhyme there, and I just think it's so clever. The most commonly distilled vine fruit is grapes, which make wine. The word "wine", while not actually said in the song, is hinted at. And is like a subtle hidden bonus rhyme.

Met Brandon Boyd December of 2019 with my friend and when he came out the side door to do pics and autographs, I froze. My friend told me to hand her a pen, I forgot what a pen was and how to open it. 😂 He smelled like angels oughta smell, well his hair at least. I asked for a hug and took pics and asked for another hug. 🤗 . I’ve always had a crush on him since 99/00 and to finally meet the lead singer of the band that broke me out of my shell and not care what my other peers thought of the music l listened to ( black girl listening to rock music was/ is considered weird) so instead I hung out with others that did. Even though the moment was brief, I’ll never forget meeting him. 😍

I've been an INCUBUS fan for as long as I can remember. I'm 21 now so I'm still kinda too young to know the S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and Make Yourself eras, but I'm not young enough to appreciate the amazing genius that is this band. Your music has done so much for me and has influenced my life in so many ways. From my career choice (I'm a musician and music major in college) to the way I make decisions. I love INCUBUS. Hearing these guys always brings me back to the best and most carefree times of my younger self. Rocking my Globe shirt and Alien Workshop board looking for spots around the city with my friends. Now I wear work boots at 31 years old, feeling old AF. I never became Tony Hawk but that's fine. Just happy hearing new music from this great band again.
