I was once told that incubus was one of the only bands that sounds exactly the same live as they do on the radio.

Plus not to mention the many vocal elements Brandon adds to all of their songs especially live. The man has the voice of a goddamn angel!!! But his musical genius is in due to no small parts he adds. Especially the begining of this song, I used to think was all just turntables...but in most certainly is turntables aaaannd Brandon's individualistic style of 'scat'

I like to lie to myself and believe that watever God you believe in- well they put incubus on this planet jus for me. I’ve never connected w/another artist n all of music the way I hav them. N I went to school for music journalism. Their music is like my best friend. They’ve saved my life a couple times. ‘Make Yourself’ changed everything for me wen I was 15. ‘Morning View’ did the same wen it came out. My daughter is 13 & been listening to them all her life only now they’re starting to speak to her the way they always hav me. I’m so proud. Jus kno w/certainty those 2 albums are some of the best ever written and recorded. They contain some of the most amazing & profound songs ever written. ‘The Warmth’ ‘Consequence’ ‘Pardon Me’ ‘Nice to Kno You’ ‘Warning’ jus to name a few. If I don’t get to see them live before I die it will be the great tragedy of my life.

And 23 years later, I found myself watching them Live in Asia Tour 2024. They opened with this exact song. The maturity, energy, vibe that they'd bring ignites memory of my young adult life. All of them looks right where I imagine them will be. Still rocking and in that moment I found myself happy, happyyyyyy
