I don't think enough people gave INNW enough time. Even at the concert to promote the album, I was the only person close to me singing the new songs (of course, I was blazzed out of mind)! But seriously, I know tons of people that didn't appreciate Light Grenades till they listened to it a few times. That's the magic of Incubus! It might sound different, but give it enough listens, and you will hear the Incubus YOU know inside of the new sound!

A perfect example of incredible writing and execution. No it's not kickass rocking out good old Incubus, but perfect melody and balance between the members of an exceptionally talented band. Great song.

why are people hating on the new album? its a much more mature album than the previous ones, and a braver one for that matter, i understand some of the songs are not as memorable, but its still a masterpiece if you ask me.

i got into incubus around late 2010, but i've known about them (just never known the name) around the time make yourself came out, privilege was the first song i ever heard from these guys. around i think late 2005-2006 i heard drive and anna molly, and i thought they were amazing songs, and yet, i still never knew what band was playing the music.

They never said it was an experiment. Here's a quote from Mike on the Wikipedia article for this album: "I think we took a risk by making this type of album. But it's not some crazy, experimental album." Sorry if I come across as condescending, but it's just the facts. From the way they talk about this album, I wouldn't be surprised if we see more of the same stuff in the future. And honestly, that's fine with me, because I love the album (but that's just my opinion).

On the contrary you have other bands doing all they can to make sure their promotional songs are attainable to the public
