I once met this guy at a bar 20 years ago and he asked me what bands I liked. When I said incubus he said 'favorite song on 3. 1, 2, 3- ' then we both said summer romance at the same time. His friend looked at us and said this could be fate lol....I made out with him for a few minutes and never saw him again. I will, however, always remember him 😁

I'm home alone tonight Full moon illuminates my room, and sends my mind aflight I think I was dreaming up some thoughts that were seemingly possible With you. So I call you on the tin can phone We rendezvous at a quarter-two, and make sure we're alone I may have found a way for you and I to finally fly free. When we get there, we're gonna go far away Making sure to laugh, while we experience anti-gravity. For years, I kept to myself Now potentialities are bound, and sleeping under my shelf Simply choose your destination from the diamond canopy And we'll be there. Anti-gravity, anti-gravity.

It's mostly(not this song) filled with simple guitar parts and power cords with an over reliance of effects to sound cool and interesting. Watch guitar tutorials by Mike of Redefine, etc. There is actually much more guitar talent, creativity, and blending of genres in their albums from "Morning View" - "If Not Now When" but people write that stuff off by jumping on the bandwagon of complaints about the songwriting in the lyrics becoming more romantic instead of that songwriting being about the complaints of a collage student with "new" ideas about society and it's faults.

@@YodatheHobbit disagree completely, every song on morning view i would classify as alt rock, it seemed the least inventive of the 4 albums with dirk besides fungus amongus, and honestly the songs on science are extremely inventive, and the reliance on pedals is not a “reliance” its just the sound they pioneered which made them unique. It’s like saying jimi hendrix relied on strats too much. also redefine might be my favorite incubus song

I was serious with a recording engineer, and musician, who had a band. And rehearsal always. They had so many code words and private jokes, and would crack up on stage. They had mass groupies crowd from the University there. Firemen would have to block the door, no more could fit. I was underage. But i was with the band. I always wonder what the grins and big smiles mean at the very end??? But I love it!!! Band mates are usually very close friends. In my experience. I wanna go back in time, dadgum!

This song does something different to me now at age 36 than it did at age 25, or even 29. Where as before I had dreams of someday reuniting with woman and crushes I loved when I was younger and reconnecting, and them finally seeing the real me, not the shy me, and living out dreams I never had, now that hope and longing this song used to inspire is just replaced by hatred for losing the hope I used to have. I just feel dismissively, seriously angry, and just want to turn it off when hearing this song instead of before when it made me feel cool, romantic, and confident. "When we get there?" I will never be there. It never came. I gave up. I don't like that this happened.
