Sunil Gavaskar is a legend. What a great guy! I remember he was the only one and an Indian predicting in 1992 that Pakistan would won the World Cup, which was ironical considering he was an Indian and arch nemesis. A legend! Hats off to Gavaskar!!

He's an awesome personality. He has a very good sense of humor and a nice human being who supported Imran Khan's Shoukat memorial cancel hospital. He's a cricket expert in the true sense. His observations are great. I remember before 1999 semi final between Aus and SA three commentators were asked who will be Player of the match before start of play. Geoff Boycott said Lance Klusener(Almost took SA home with 35 odd runs). Tony Greig said Shaun Pollock(Pollock took 5 wickets). Sir Sunil Gavaskar said Shane Warne. Why he was asked. "He said cutting and pulling a big Turner from warne could lead to an edge or batsman can miss the ball and get out lbw or bowled" Guess who was right . 🧡 from Pakistan

Sunny and Wasim are legends, not simply because they were so good at what they did, but because of the bigger legacy they gave back to the world - they showed how easy it is for society to learn bssic facts of life from them: 1. learn to respect and value fellow humans who you have been told differently about. 2. Life becomes so much more valuable through friendship instead of enmity. 3. Importance of opening your mind to others. 4. If you find something that you like doing, then persist at it no matter what, until you are so good at it, that others will happily appreciate your importance to them. In other words, never be afraid to chase your dreams and aspirations.

At that time means 90's decade What a Pak bowling bridage that ruled over all cricket playing nations. Washim Akram Waqer unis Aqib Javed and so on.. I have played very little cricket and know next to nothing about it. But just as an outside observer, the action of Wasim Akram, from run up to delivery seemed compact, economical and efficient yet easy , effective, and his pace was also fairly express. He was accurate, had good ball control, and fast, not always blitzing, which is never necessary. He could make the ball do just what he wanted it to do. Rather than sit and complain and rue about the placid, severe , unfavourable and tiring subcontinent conditions, a good bowler will think about how best to use those very seemingly adverse conditions to his advantage rather than to his disadvantage, he will turn the tables around on the situation and on the circumstance, get on top of it and come out the winner. For this he has to be smart, skilled and strong. He has to have the energy, both for short bursts and short spells, as well as the endurance energy for the long haul. He should be able to do things with the ball both through the air and off the pitch. He has to have a lot of variations. He has to always keep the batsman on his toes, always keep the batsman guessing, always keep the batsman watchful, wary and on his gaurd. If the batsman can read him, he is no longer a surprise. Beating a batsman for pace alone, by breaking his ribs or his skull, or his knuckles is just one possibility, and may or may not prove to be one that pays off in the long run. No one would know that better than England. While I am in favor of exposing the chink in the opponents armor, I am against exploiting it, and taking advantage of it. It is not like I am perfect and without any chinks in my own armor. Honestly, between the Rawalpindi express and Wasim Akram, I still think Wasim Akram is a far superior bowler. Between malcolm marshall and michael holding, I still think michael holding is a far superior bowler.
