I'm not sure why, but i got a little emotional watching you rip independence out as it started raining. you've poured your heart and soul into this thing, and let me tell you. It's so worth it to watch a community of thousands give ideas of what they'd like a car to look like and have watched it being built in the comfort of our own living rooms. It's definitely a luxery i don't take for granted.

I actually kinda liked the mixture of smoke density created by the rain - especially when he'd hit the ol' J-turn and burn the pavement dry and smoke would roll out like he had a machine under there.

I didn't get into the burn out comp much before, mostly because you normally can't see the car. Moisture made it more fun to watch, and you still made great colored smoke. Thanks for sharing. I know you've worked hard at this before during and after the event.

Highly unlikely. It didn't even make enough power to spin them up in the wet. It overheated too. Would have been better in a stock road car, and a much better technique..

Nobody pissed in my cereal. I'm an Australian, so we see better burnouts on the local streets than most of these. To me this event looked a lot like a bunch of kids driving mummy's car in circles around the local supermarket, and doing a bit of a screechy.

I live in Thailand now. My wife's grandkids came to visit and they were making a ruckus. I put this video up on the TV and they witnessed some amazing burnouts. They settled down and were hooked. Now gearheads for life.

I’d hope you’re datalogging these runs. You can see what effect the rising temp is doing to fuel mixture and equivalence ratio, especially at the RPM range you didn’t anticipate. That’ll answer some questions about any additional enrichment and slight retarding of timing those upper RPMs at elevated temps at the (upper) edges of the tune will want. Good temp modifier tables for power enrichment mode and MAP vs RPM above 5500.

The air charge temps coming out of that non-intercooled supercharger during a burnout have to be insane! You should look into running the engine on methanol or install a water/methanol injection system to help keep things a lot cooler.

They'd be better off just running a stock LS, and learning how to do a proper burnout. You only need 300 rwhp or so, if you use the correct technique... which these Americans just cannot seem to work out.
