I was brought up fishing on the Royal Polaris. Then, I switched over to the Excel, which to me is the best Charter boat out of San Diego. I will be going on a charter on the Independence soon. But by looking at the backdeck of the Independence, The Excel has more tackle box room and rod'n reel room on the back deck.

UC Gusa Terminator with Alijos 12 2 speed. 80 lb braid and 50 lb leader using a TP knot.
