The part where the lyrics are “ Collect my fickle insecurities, and turn them in to beauty.” She is cutting a worm right? But if you look closely, there are flowers where the cuts are. So in that scene, the worm plays the insecurities role, and the cuts turning into flowers is the “turn them into beauty” role.

Base from the others infos i got on other people reacting, the thing she is inside is her brain, the "windows" look like eyes, to put it simply the eyes are peoples looking at her, the insects inside her "brain" are her negative thoughts, the worm on earth represents life, death, and reborn but on dreams represents something eating out of yourself, and basically the bigger negative one, when she said "collect my fickle insecurities, and turn them into beauty" she basically "slayed" her negative thoughts and turned her "brain" into positive thoughts aka the flowers and butterflies so basically the song VOID is about your insecurities, and problems about other peoples view to you

Some fun facts I noticed is that she has always something behind her, and usually nothing resembling just herself, to judge herself, Also the bugs in that room (and the moths) all have spiritual meanings usually leading towards positive changes and rebirth! She’s so creative 🥹🫶

The song itself, the moves, the attention to detail and every lyric really tied the meanings together that Melanie trying to show. It shows how she's had many different Experiences with her career and path on styles (it doesn't matter who it is. It can be anybody as an artist or a person.) Anybody can really nail the meanings if they try hard enough. And Melanie really managed to make me relate to every little detail to her lyrics and really everything. In the music video, when Mel cut the worms head off with the sword that means she was killing off her negative thoughts and the flowers and butterflies are her happy thoughts coming through. So when she was falling down the tunnel and she shot herself in the head and butterflies came out, that means the bad through tried to come back but her good thoughts had already taken over, therefore the butterflies! love these reactions, do you have any advice on starting your own music? I was planning on becoming an artist, I was really inspired by melanie. I'm just not sure how to write songs, I have looked and most people say to just write down whatever comes to mind but its hard lol.

it definitely is hard, especially if it doesn’t come naturally (at first). I’d suggest the following exercise: every morning grab a pen+paper and put on a 5 minute timer & write your stream of consciousness without questioning it or judging it, without thinking of it as a song, without putting any structure to it, not even punctuation. simply a stream of consciousness, while focusing on touching upon your senses. The first few times it will be hard & you’ll most likely feel like your writing complete 💩 which you honestly might be but don’t judge it & don’t give u!! some good things will start pouring in, trust me. After your timer’s up, stop writing even if you’re mid phrase or even word. Read it back and if there’s any particular line you like (or even word) highlight it or underline it and see if you want to use it later in a song. If you don’t like anything, that’s totally fine too. You will come up with something good at some point, trust me. Also, try being more present in your daily life, you’d be surprised how many things you see or hear that can be the beginning of a great song idea. :)) hope this helps & good luck!! 🫶🏻
